how about some close up pictures?? im just wondering what you are really gonna benefit from this? i mean is it really going to be better than just having the rear shock re-valved and re-sprung? what kinda cost are you looking at there??
there are only 2 tires i approve of.. they are stock yfz450 tires and kenda knarly. both of these tires are lightweight, very durable, and reasonably priced. youll be happy with either one.
you need at least a +4 for that motor. i really recommend a +6. ive got a +6 on mine and i can whip it around just like a +4. plus that couple extra inches helps to keep the front down. if you already have a +4 id ride it with that and see how you like it. you may not need to go longer.
that fuckin sucks man. what bones did you break? you dont have your thumb wrapped up too do you? if so, i feel bad for you. bones involving the thumb dont heal very well. ive got proof in my right wrist!
leave it there and then do a WOT plug check. you may even need to drop down one to get the most power. how much is a tad rich?? what your plugs look like now?
i dont think you have any problems. ive had my motors apart tons of times and always put them back together, thrown them in the bike and the gears were fine.
boost bottle = junk. dont waste your time.
reed spacers are really only necessary when you need to clear big carbs past the clutch arm. otherwise i wouldnt bother with them.
this should be a very simple task. put a little oil in the cylinder to help them slide in. line the dowels up with the rings. compress the rings and slide the cylinder over. if you have stock cylinders it should be very easy. cubs are a little more difficult but not much.. if they arent going in pretty easily something else might be wrong. why did you have it tore apart?
i agree. my brothers 421 cub has 33mm pwk on it and it comes out of the whole hard. probably something to do with the smaller carbs. but you can run 35 or 39 on that motor too with no problems. personally if you have the 33's, just stick with them. i doubt youll notice much difference..
