  1. hey guys im after a paddle for my 4 mill rz banshee. i plan on going to the dunes this year sometime so i dont want to buy a set of paddles for a trip i may not do again for a couple of years, but at home i can get to the beach via a gravel road and alot of what i ride on is soft and loamy. i was looking at those half paddles that scat trak sell or prowedges. would these be worth while, what size and how many paddles would suit my bike? or am i better off sticking with knobblies. what do people reccomend for tyres normal tyres for the sand? i dont like running anything heavy, so not 6ply etc. cheers Toby
  2. why did you remove the head in the first place? and what type of oil do you use? and dont clean them in the cylinders, i've never heard of such a stupid idea. remove the pistons and use a wirewheel/wire brush.
  3. im after some boots for the airbox and 28 pwk's, mine have split anyone know where to get them?
  4. good to see the site getting some well deserved attention. looks real good! i can email the full shots if interested
  5. heavy duty degreaser on all the oily spots, let it soak for 5 min, was off with a hose, spay engine pipes, chassis etc with silicon spray. its a dirtbike not a show piece. but i still clean it right up before a big event with soap and whatnot, anything over half an hour isnt worth it.
  6. you'll probably need M6x1 M8x1.25 i didnt think there were any 10mm threads on the chassis? my last build i made into a roller, suspension wheels radiator, then motor. put it together the opposite way it came apart.
  7. do you say this from experience? WSM make some damn good pistons, comparable to Pro-X
  8. ohwell, i will soon see for myself. just bought a set of herrmann +3+1 longtravel front end with elka elites. will see how it compares...
  9. http://www.modquad.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1281&osCsid=f104180a282b7c87c9224784ef25df7e thats about as good as it gets, you can get one for the stator side as well
  10. low compression yes yea? didnt touch? shake your willie while looking? what colour powerbands? answered your own first question, get the barrel to a machine shop to see if they are within their limits, if so get them honed and get a new set of rings yea when you drain the coolant the radiator will become empty
  11. these must be as rare as rocking horse shit... or doesnt anyone want to ship to aus?
  12. use loctite 567 or that permatex stuff http://img-asia.electrocomponents.com/images/R330394-91.jpg http://www.henkelna.com/cps/rde/xchg/henkel_us/hs.xsl/product-search-1554.htm?iname=Loctite%C2%AE+567%E2%84%A2+PST%C2%AE+Thread+Sealant&countryCode=us&BU=industrial&parentredDotUID=productfinder&redDotUID=0000000JBE put some on the threads, and wind them in with your fingers, dont torque them to anything, just so long as all the threads are in, then put the head on and torque the headnuts. OEM torque for the headnuts is like 22ft/lb's, not sure if its the same for the t-rex set-ups.
