  1. yeah vettes are nice, but like i said you should see if you can find an in budget. LS2 vette.
  2. if you are on a tight budget instead of the head, get yours milled but only far enough to run pump gas. and its VERY cheap to have it milled.
  3. thank you, thats why we love the power, but trust me when your in a bad situation, you asshole hold the seat pretty tight.
  4. yeah the air leak is on that side.
  5. basically its hill shooting, duning, and drag racing, pretty much anything that is mostly WFO.
  6. no 40:1 is less oil but don't do that premenatly its just a quick trip thing to avoid for ebing a lil rich. fix it right will be better
  7. you have an air leak guaranteed it can be around the case or cylinders, but its leaking.
  8. you have a verry little ring around the needle OR they are ever so slightly out of adjustment the float height on stock carbs is between 20 and 22mm i usually set min a 21 or they are just slightly dirty and need some cleaning.
  9. running too rich can glaze the clinder walls causing the rings to not seal. loosing compression too much gas washes the oild off the ring causeing excessive piston wear.

  11. fresh rebuild whats gas and oil ratio? and make sure them flywheel didnt spin

  14. My plans arent for sure yet, but me and a few of my friends are going to be getting banana suits. my other friend is getting a gorilla suit LOL so if anyone is going i want to see a bunch of bananas out there we can play donkey kong.
  15. i took a jerry can and cut the side off and welded a plate on the open end and welded a filler neck off a car onto it. its about 2 gallons and its under the seat and it fits perfect. ill get pics later.

  17. so is all the TORS unhooked? and whats your jetting have you tried and elevations?
  18. well you dont need to fill the bottle its for over flowing its doesnt suck in fluid unless its low. and what is your jetting? and 100 psi is almost time for a rebuild. and that 70% more fluid is still at the same temprature. so it would help if we had fans.
  19. well whats you compression again, and timing?. and if it was a carb running dry and it didnt favor a side it would have burnt up both sides.

  21. well you could get an 02 Trans AM for WAYYYYY less then both and they take the SAME mods as the vetts. and unless at sea level NO WAY an 01/02 will run 11's those have the LS6 in them which is just different heads, cam and intake from the LS1 whic you can get for under 1k plus a tune will be 1500 to 2k if you get headers tahts better. and NOT compramise the fuel economy too much. and with the right driver you can do great 0-60 BTW my 02 TA has only headers and ive beat sooooo many sti's and evsolws and 400RWHP in the rain NP if you know how to controll the car. snow unless its bad wont be to bad either. and on the street NOTHING has good speed without radials. ive even had evo spin the roads suck so bad here. if you want to keep the expedition and HAVE to ahve a vette try and find a regular LS2 one they have SOOOOO much more potential. but if you want a nice fast car for cheaper then a vette get and f body. you can pick up a good one pretty cheap, and dump some money into it and smoke everyone. FYI LSx motors LOVE boost. and N2O
  22. my brother has fattys and stock carbs with open air box and +4 its has the low end almost as much as my friends piped, jetted, and timind advanced YFZ. and its not ported the +4 and fattys are going to bet hte best bet for bottom end, and overall power save the money on the cool head and have yours milled, the cool head does NOTHING if you put stock domes in it. if you want to have it porred dont get the head, and use that money for porting. and dont put big carbs on if you want low end either, mayber have your bored a mil or two
  23. does it sound like a bearing which is a constang like metal to metal sound or like a pulsating sound. if its pulsating its a twisted crank.
  24. you sir have a hole in your piston. now being only one side, this is where what my builder told me comes into play. the 2 into 1 intakes can favor one side of the motor. ie the reason only one side burnt up. what octane were you running? with those domes you need minium 50/50 race and premium.
  25. you DO NOT want to do only one side. you will throw off the balance of the motor, and you carbs will have to be set different etc. just save the money and get both a good used crank, if you need them there are places like FAST i believe and others that can sell you some bored used cylinders and pistons as ONE package deal. if you want to do things to only one piston, buy a 4 poke
