  1. if it has to be quiet then get some toomeys and then save up for a hush kit. but there is no such thing as a fast and quiet banshee.
  2. i was crusing down my road on the bottom right in my sig kawasaki ZX9R in a shee and a honda with a shit can pulled up beside me and revvs it up and drops the clutch i downshift and im gone pulled maybe 3 bus lengths on him before i shutdown cause i was doing about 110
  3. yeah the most common mixture is 32:1 and i used to use castor 927 but i switched to the mobile 1 fully synthetic from autozone i like it better. but as said earlier anything above 91 Octane is a waste for a stock banshee
  4. not if you put the sensor at the end of the pipe so it wont get so oil soaked. look at all these cars driving around smoking their ass of and still running well. i say go for it because ive thought about it too, just dont have one to do it with. yet someday i also plan on making an EFI kit for the shee and ima use a EGT probe like the snomos and skis do.
  5. if its stock dont waste the money just buy 91 octane. and if you put straight gas in it it will blow up in less then 5 MIN if you are asking about oil you have to have it its twostroke. mix it at 32:1

If you hvae no TORS and are sure your throttle wont stick you can cut the springs some inside the throttle, i have a twist so it doesnt bother me but i have seen this done a few times. and i also dont like the 2 into 1 carb setup i have bought two bikes with them both only burnt up on one side.
  7. id just run a fuel pump and put a wet kit on it. but its safe and reliable if done right
  8. there is the shift star mod, which grinds the points on the star down some, and there is an eliptical adjustment bolt for the shift shaft that will cause the same thing, i have the same issue with my bike, i just havent goten around to fixing it. EDIT: if all you do is 1/4 mile you do you have and over ride tranny

Fifth gear spins on the input shaft of the banshee. and the inputs shaft where this gear spins has no grooves in it for oil toget into it, its a relativly common thing for bikes that are low on oil or bad oil to weld this gear onto the shaft. and the dog ears on the gears bind and wont let it shift. so it could be the gear or a shift shaft/star problem start simple pull off the clutch cover and see if its acutuating properly.
  10. I don't exactly remember but i think that is safe for 91 octane. And your compression doesn't have a lot to do with the jetting its still the same amount of fuel and air coming in,its just being squeezed harder
  11. completely stock ist just the stock pipes or your needle is not in the correct postion.

  14. Ditch the boost bottle. but great deal. and it will start cheap and i do have a few cheap parts, but when you want to get scary fast that gets expensive, there is not one part on the shee the aftermarket doesnt make better.
  15. +every penny left in my banshee fund = a few and PM NitroTate he made a COMPLETE teardown and rebuild dvd and is selling them to anyone who wants one, its money WELL spent. for a beginner. and it will save thousands of dollars on shop labor.   16. hell id hather mix some oil then adjust valves all the time. it shogld de fine and uow mantience if you keep proper jetting and oil
  17. LOL yeah people do that i still have the 17 -41 stock zx9 gearing my tires are just 2-3 inccher shorter then the bike and boy does it effin movei am DIEING to get it in the sand im hoping even with all this weight my +6 swinger will be enough.
  18. FAST and i believe you just replace the old gears and shafts with new one and you will likely want the shift star to go with it.
  19. you need the crossover tube, its the boost bottle that will rip intake boots.

  23. first off spell check, what elevation, and anyowther mods. paddleboy's jetting sounds close 27.5 may be too big though. and did you get a new top end or another used motor, if its fresh do a couple of heat cycles and easy on a tank before you go all out.

  25. get a cool head with some domes for that pressure idk about milling it and what elevation are you at with 130PSI
