i hade the same issue with some 34PJ's turno out i needed to adjust the cable on the thump ALL THE WAY in first then sync the carbs. is fine now. so turn everything all the way in first then sync the carbs

yeah my guess is just bad o-ring, i had a regular shee head gasket just for no reason leak, and i just replaced it and its fine.

you should set them to settle about half of the total suspension travle in the rear and less up front with you weight on the bike. and rebound is how fast/hard the shock extends, think holes in the ground, and compression is well just that ( think speed bump )

i can get a couple of hours of mild to hard riding on a tank. with 34PJ's and pods. ported too. when riding hard all the time. i use about 3/4 a tank to my friends YFZ used only about 1/4 i dont thank thats too bad.

Its just like any other bike, atv, etc... take care of it and it will be fine. the ONLY bad yamahs tranny is that of an 01 Craptor. Sry but you dad is either lying or thinks he knows more then he does. i have only ever had ONE bad trans and thats cause previous owner ran it without oil.

what do you mean by seeping out of the pipe, if one side smokes and the other doesnt, whats the compression on both, sync the carbs. and PLEASE tell me you dont have a boost bottle
