If none of these pan out, Cascade will sell you a used kicker gear/bushing, but I never did ask how much though. I was hoping they could sell me a new one, but not a chance (unless I bought a new OEM basket with it  ). I ended up installing my gently used stocker into my good basket...

Most wouldn't step up unless they had nerfs, heel guards, seat belts, roll cages, matress behind it, etc.... -
How to tell if turbo blue is mixed or not?
BellicoseBanshee replied to 87sheerips's topic in General Banshee Discussion
When my Pingel was leaking, the 112 fuel I run would evaporate and leave red oil on the valve, and before I used thread sealer on my billet bowls, they would seep leaving red oil on them as well after the fuel evaporated. Maybe you could pour some from each in two small cups and see which one has oil in it when the fuel evaporates. Do equal amount from the two suspected cans. Use white cups. I always put a strip of masking tape down the side of my cans, and use a Sharpie to mark the fuel level and tag the cans as mixed, ratio, etc. -

I just wanted to point this out.

It depends on the two-stroke as well. I spend $80-100 (8-10 gallons of fuel + premix) a day to operate my 421 cub in the dunes. Add two quarts of oil per change, filter cleaner and oil, cable lube, cleaning supplies... It adds up. Don't forget the oil filter for the 4-strokers... :yelrotflmao: -

Nah, just a little ATV population control, that is all. That is a nice looking bike. -

Yeah, that is definitely a possibility as well. Isn't that the Peggy Bundy angle? Ah, the married life... -

I have never had an airbox with any aftermarket pipe, but from observation alone, it does appear that the pipes will burn the airbox. Someone else might know for sure...

You will not be disappointed with a Noss head. David at Noss Machine has superior customer service and his products are high quality. He will be able to answer all of your questions concerning installation and dome choice. Last time I spoke with David on the phone, we spent more time talking about old two-stroke bikes than we did about his product.

 Everytime I roll one of mine out of the trailer at the dunes, it is either: Wow, those are cool or trikes suck, you're going to kill yourself riding that. As far as the latter is concerned, 17 years later... ...Hmm, I am not dead... Some have the skills, some have the balls, those still riding them have both. -
Are you talking about a 65mm cub? FMF pipes will work on a cub, as will Toomey pipes, but a drag pipe is best for a drag cylinder. It is worth the extra coin to get a 4mm cub rather than a stock stroke cub. For the record, I am not wanting to open a can of worms about which pipes are best for a cub. That subject has been beaten to death...

dajo, I am not rying to defend this guy, but as I have mentioned before, the "craigslist police" will often flag and pull ads that mention brand names such as Mikuni in the originl product description. Too many cry babies on craigslist I suppose... It does make for creative marketing when one is trying to sell a product (McCuny vs. Mikuni, Holler vs Hauler, CTI vs. CPI, etc.). -
I am not defending this ad, but... I have had the "craigslist police" flag some of my ads in the past for using brand names to describe parts. Apparently it is against the "policy" to use Wiseco, Skat-Trak Haulers, etc. in a Yamaha Banshee ad... Like I said, not defending the ad, just pointing out that there are far too many people with too much time on their hands... Either way, it definitely makes the ad entertaining.

I would say that most of the people who arbitrarily state that all trikes 'are slow' have never ridden one, and have never been around someone who can actually ride one. Tell Jimmy White T3s are slow... I agree. With a skilled trike rider, that thing would stomp many bikes all day long. I have been ripping trikes for 17 years. Some have the skills, some do not... Again, I agree. -

It is fair to say that many people in our society are not well-read, and that is why our society suffers from a general lack of writing and spelling skills (communication skills in general). Most people should be able to comminicate, with minimal errors, on a forum without some stupid spell check progam. -

"Centrifugal force" is a false force, it does not really exist. It does not act on the body in motion, it only acts on the source of centripetal force, and it is equal in magnitude and opposite in direction to the centripetal force. -
4mm Crank and Cheetah Cub Cylinders
BellicoseBanshee replied to Mixmastermerrill's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Coming from 17 years of riding ATC250Rs, a 421 Cub on a stock swinger is not an out of control wheelie machine. As mentioned: if you dump it hard with a short swinger, you WILL be counting clouds. It depends on how the bike is being used, and what the bike is used for. I run the dunes all the time on an ATC-R (with haulers) without killing myself and riding out of control. Many would hop on my R and wheelie all the time and bitch that it won't turn. Doesn't make me an expert rider, because I am not, but it puts a little perspective on the subject. A 421 cub on a stock or +2 swinger used for hard duning and hillshooting is definitely manageable, but it is not going to be a monster off the line, period. With that being said, if you really want to launch it hard and use the cub's power as soon as the wheels start rolling, you had better plan on a longer swinger, for it is a given one cannot effectively "drag race" without it (lockout and override as well). How is that for riding the fence? Mixmastermerrill- if you are planning to drag race only, dajo is a wealth of information, and he knows what he is talking about- listen to him (If the this makes me a nut-swinger, I hope dajo is ok with the fact that I use jumper cable clips to attach myself to ones nuts :woot: )... -
Works fine!
