  2. Sometimes it's the simplest things that give the biggest rpoblems...at least the probelm has been found. The bog could be corrected with the air screw adjustments. I'd try that first before you tear into the carbs again.
  3. That's exactly what I used together to get the melted THOR riding pants off of mine....cleaned the pipes up pretty well. i let the oven cleaner sit for about 20 minutes and then scubbed it with the SOS pad. The SOS and oven cleaner will mess up the paint and plastic if you aren't careful
  4. the only really hot weather I ran my cheetah p.v. in was 70 degree weather and at 4500ft I was running a 142 main(should have been a 150) with a 45 pilot and clip in middle position.
  5. Call the local bike shops in your area and ask if they have race gas and what octane rating they have. You should run 110 just to be safe. yes you will have to mix the oil and gas just like you would with regular 91 oct pump gas. VP is a brand of race gas. 110 is the octane.
  6. I have 170 psi on my cheetah p.v. and run straight 110 race gas. i was told that if I had 150-160 to run 50/50 mix of race and pump gas.
  7. I'm going to assume sand mountain in fallon NV.....I was there with both my shee's in March and the temp was just that...60-70 degrees. As you can see in my sig my '99's mods are close to what your mods are. I was running a 340 main with a 27.5 pilot and I my clip is either on my 3rd or 4th position and the thing scremed...Fast500#12 rode it and he said it felt like I had some more work done than what is listed in my sig. I never had any problems messing around or shooting up the hill. The jetting as almost dead on perfect for that elevation
  8. The straight paddles(haulers and hauler extremes) don't turn as sharply as the ITP Sand Stars. The sand stars are mainly used for overall duning and for the recreational hill shooter/dragger who isn't serious in winning but more for the fun. The hauler type paddles don't turn as sharply but have great traction in a straight line. Either tire is a great tire to buy but it all depends on your type of riding as to which will be better suited for you. Hope this helps
  9. cascadeinnovations.net has this..all it is is a different type if valve stem but it's flat. It takes a special tool to air up the tire. Read the discription on the site and it will explain everything.
  10. 155psi....Son you have more than a slightly modded engine..you sound like you're bored over from stock. if you have spark you have combustion. Sounds like you are running rich if you have crap spitting out your exhaust. A stock bore engine should be at no more than 135-140psi. i would check to make sure you don't have an air leak, your jetting, slides, etc.....most importantly give us some more about you location....such as elevation, temp., all motor mods that you know of, and if you have aftermarket pipes, and if you have the stock air box or running filter pods. I'm pretty sure that some one here will be able to help you.
  11. I had the same problem a hile ago.... Adjust your air screws and the fat screws on top of your tors housing on the carbs...Your idle and air mixture is off...

  13. Holy crap $8000 for a limited edition shee is unheard of..well around my area anyways.. no more than an extra $500 compared to a non limited edition or a special edition. good luck with the sale. More importantly stay safe in Iraq. Sucks that you're going. Come home in one piece
  14. more info on your elevation, ALL engine mods, current jetting settings etc would greatly help... Right now there are too many factors that might be causing the problems

  16. No it was a blue 450...I think I saw the 450 you're talking about but he never dragged the hill he was too busy playing with another bike. I talked to collin and he said the tranny fluid may be the cause, at aleast he's close the mountain so he can go and check it out after he changes it, I'd be screwed since there's really no place to ride at my house. i really wanted to go out on Sat. to meet up with you guys but I had to take care of my wife and that was a little more important than going out to the hill. I'll be back in either June or August... for a month and hopefully we can meet up then.
  17. Ok I need a few things and I hope some people on here can help.. My Pro Circuit pipes on my '99 are looking real shitty and I either need to rechrome them or buy a new set. If re-chroming is cheaper I need to find a place I can send them off to to have properly prep'ed and re-chromed. I would like a company/person who can make them look immaculate and good-excellent quality is a must, no shady work please. After spending some time on the cheetah at the dunes my shoulders said that I need a better front suspension, my shoulders were killing me because they were so sore the next day. I have a budget and cannot afford new +2+1 a-arms and and shocks and can only afford new front shocks for stock a-arms. Elka's are out of the question...Can't afford $700+ for them.. My price range limit is no more than $500 for a set. Any info is greatly appreciated since I'm dumb when it comes to suspension and suspension set-up. I'll be mainly doing some general duning and hill shooting..I know I don't have to worry about the woops during hill shooting since my front tires don't touch until I'm in 3rd gear and by that time I'm already past the woops.. I might do a little mx track but no jumping...ass end kicks up on me too bad once air born. I also found out that while riding at a fast pace in the dunes my feet kept sliding off my pegs while turning with all the bumps in the sand so I'm looking for some IMS roll design kick up pegs. Also on my 99 I want to get rid of the damned "boost bottle". I would like to get the billet intake with the built in crossover for the stock 26mm carbs. I haven't been able to find one and if anyone has one or can point me in the right direction I'd greatly appreciate it. If anyone knows where I can purchase any thing I've listed above or has what I am looking for please reply with a price and how I can get in contact with the correct people if it's not one of you on the HQ.   18. Welcome to the HQ... I'm also in Central cali....I'm south of you by about 45 minutes...Hanford to be exact off of HWY41. There's not much riding on our area.. The closest places are Hollister and pismo, unless you want to drive 6 hours to Fallon Nv, to sand Mountain(where I'm currently at until Saturday)....Not worth the drive unless you take like 3-4 days off of work. If there are any other places to ride it's either illegal to ride there or it's on Private property. There are some trial riding spots up by Huntington and Shaver Lakes. Never been to them but I hear there's some pretty good riding up there. Give a holler and we'll try to hook up on a ride some time.
  19. I went to sand mountain today after missing bansheeseat$$ and fast500#12 due to my wife getting sick. I decided that beofre I left I would head over to where a group of people were draging up the hill. I wasn't planning on racing but some guy kept talking crap about 2 strokes...he was on a Yamaha 450. I didn't really pay attention to him since the banshee's he was racing were not set up for dragging. They had toomeys, stock swingers etc.... Anyway, the more he won the more he talked crap. He was talking crap when he turned around and said that he could beat me because he knew that the Twin 421 stickers i put on were just for "show" but I didn't react to his shit talking. He finally pissed me off when he said that everyone who rides banshees are a bunch of posers.. I lined up and said that people who shit at the mouth usually have a small penis...He got pissed and started talking shit once more. I asked him to put up or shut up, he wanted to race for money. I said $40 since that's all I had in my wallet and he agreed. We launched and half way throught the woops I looked over and he was right there until I grabbed 3rd and pulled away from him like it was nothing. At the bottom of the hill I lined up again and he followed suit....ran up the hill again and it was even worse.. At teh bottom of the hill he was quite pissed and handed over the $40 without a word. I loaded up and went home. I got to say that after riding a properly tuned/jettind Cheetah powervalve in some sand that it has more balls than I ever expected...after about 3 runs up the hill my hands hurt and I have to stop and rest. My buddy said that when I was going through woops my front tires never hit the ground until I was in 3rd gear.
  20. My powervalves have no drilling done to them. The hoses coming off the jets are not routed back into any vacuum lines or any lines for that matter, they run down the frame and pointed down to let the unburned fuel/oil drip and not get all over the frame. Firehead might have his set up differently for his type of riding. I do a little recreational hillshooting and duning and let the engine push the powervalves up on it's own. If you have any real technical questions call trinity like firehead said and see what they say.
  21. Good luck finding a powervalve motor...most people are running cubs. My powervalve kinda fell in my lap. The cubs and powervalves have the same peak HP. the P.V.'s have more of a low end due to the exhaust port valve. Trinityracing.com has them if you wanted ti buy new.
  22. Hey kawiking....I have 22-11-10 8paddle extremes on my 421 powervavle and have no problem spinning out of the hole in first and hooks extremely well. I'm in Fallon, Nv. Home of Sand mountain and just got the jetting dialed in and I have raced a couple full drag bikes and have won with my current set up. Had one guy get all pissed because his blinged out bike was loosing against a "sleeper" as he called it...thought I was running NOS. With that said I think either 8 or 10 would be good a good choice and it's all personal preference. For those of you who are close to Fallon, NV. I'll be here until the 31st so come up and let's ride. Bansheeseat$$ is trying to come this coming Saturday and I hope Fast500#12 will have his bike together so we can all ride.

Well if you're sceered to get whooped on and don't want to bring it you dont have too :yelrotflmao: I should know my schedule that afternoon or Sunday, that is if I don't know it by the time I leave here Friday. Honestly if ou want to keep the ass kicker at home i won't mind...just giving you a hard time....I could say that my banshee is like what the guy was saying about the raptor 700....fastest bike ever made :shoothead:
