  6. ok this site has gotten a lot more complex.. it won't let me add pics from photobucket and I can't copy and paste the list of mods to the bikes... The list of mods should be at the bottom of my post... The only addition to the '05 as far as mods is I added marvin shaw shocks for the longer A-Arms and valved for dunes and hill shooting.
  7. Man it's been a long time since I've logged into the site.. Surprised my login still worked.... Anyway, I'm riding my banshees less and less as the years go on and all my riding buddies have sold their quads so I decided its time to start thinking about selling mine. Info on them are in my signature. I have all kinds of jets for each bike to re-jet from sea level to 5000ft above sea level. Full set of sand tires for both bikes. For the '05 I have a set of 9 paddle 22x11x10 hauler extremes. Both banshees have been garaged or in an enclosed trailer their entire life. I have clean titles for both bikes. I have extra stuff that will go with each bike as well. like gas cans, flags, pre-mix oil, etc. I have been on craigslist looking at prices and they vary so much I figured I'd get on here and ask you all on here. any help is greatly appreciated
  8. I run 174psi in my cheetah PV motor...that is with 21cc domes... i also have 17cc domes to bump the compression...
  9. I have +2+1 A-arms on m 421 PV motor with stock axle... I dune with it and also hill shoot when ever I want... I've had no issues with the bike getting squirlly on me when I let off the throttle...
  10. Heading to glamis the 26th-14th and would like some insight on Jetting... My current jetting for my banshees are in my signature... I also have a YZ450F carb'd motor that has has a stage 2 big bore and cam kit with ice cube cylinder...after a couple minutes at idle I can see the header glowing red....I don't know 4 stroke that much but does that mean it's running lean and needs to have a bigger main and pilot jet installed??? if so how much bigger do I need to go??

Looking for a set of rear paddles to fit on a 10.5x8 rim... heading to glamis/buttercup area and need some paddles.... or if you have paddles on rims with a 4/110 bolt pattern....
  13. If you can trade your cubs for a set of cheetah powervalve cylinders... The PV in the exhaust port will give you some low end torque and willl rise up when you really get on it for the hill climbs...I have a set of PV cylinders and people are amazed at my low end power... I use them for trail riding, ripping at the dunes and hill climbing...
  14. Thanks... I did find out that the shop that built this bike raced it in a big desert race and won...Thought it was a bit of info worth posting...
  15. Posting this for a buddy He's selling his'86 250R lonestar frame with a 450 dirtbike motor in it. great looking bike, sounds and runs great. everything on it is lonestar( frame, rear axle, all 4 hubs, steering stem, a-arms, etc.) and if you know what lonestar is you know it's very expensive. Here is the craigslist link(pics may or may not show up in the add) so pics are below Located in Lemoore, ca. asking $6000 http://fresno.craigslist.org/mcy/3088441797.html
  16. So I've been thinking about selling my banshees but I have no idea what they are worth. I bought my '05 for $4500 in '07 and my '99 for $3500 in '04.... just FYI.. I WILL NOT PART THEM OUT. I don't have the time to part them ot and do not want the stuff no one wants laying in the garage. yes, I'm lazy if that's what you want to call it my '99 '05 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v420/Siberiananook/twin421.jpg[/img They will come with a full set of paddles....
  17. found a banshee in my area for sale...supposedly it was bought and owner never started it or put fuel in it...$1800 here is the link http://visalia.craigslist.org/tid/2279008210.html here is the email I got from the supposed owner... Hello there, Thank you for your interest in purchasing my 2003 Yamaha Banshee Brand New Quad. First of all I want to let you know that the quad is available, it's in perfect condition, brand new, clear title, free of encumbrances and liens. I bought it when I was serving in Fort Stewart, GA. I have dropped my price to $1800 (purchase price) since this is an urgent sale and I need to sell it before 31 March, when I will be deployed in Iraq with my company replacing the troops scheduled to come home. I have decided to use Google Checkout for this sale . The quad is already at our Military Logistic Department form Fort Stewart, U.S. Army, crated and ready to go. The Logistic Department will deliver the Banshee to your home. I will offer a 10 days period to inspect the quad from the moment you receive it. The shipping will be free for you! I'm currently stationed in London, United Kingdom until 31 March, when I will be deployed to Iraq. This is why I must sell it before that. If you agree with my price $1800, I need your FULL NAME AND ADDRESS, so I can inform Google Checkout that I have a buyer! I will forward your details to them and then you will receive an invoice(with no further obligations or fees). Like this you’ll be able to talk with them directly and ask all you want to know. PS: If there are any questions left please don't hesitate to ask. I can provide you more photos & details if you are interested to buy it. 18. Since i've been a member on this forum I've found most of the answers to my questions using the search function. Granted there will be some cases that the question will need to be asked. The ones that have been around for awhile have seen just about every question to every issue come cross this forum at some point in time. if I can't the answer in my manual, search function or google I will ask, but I will exhaust all other options before I ask. yeah there may have been times where i went thru 20 pages before I found my answer...but it was there in the search function... right after I rebuilt the top end on my '99 I was having some issues of the right cylinder would die once I cracked the throttle but would come alive again at WOT... After I spent weeks toubleshooting, tearing the motor and carbs apart a few times and still nothing...I finally asked for help here... I spent a few more weeks troubleshooting doing everything i read by searching every thread that had anything to do or came close to with my issue and using other members tips and suggestions..it now runs like a champ...and because of everything i learned from what i read from those many weeks of reading I have been able to fix just about anything the banshee's have thrown at me without asking... it's not that we don't want to answer the question....its just that 99% of the time....it's already been asked and answered.
  19. red....have you considered a cheetah Power Valve set up??? I have a 421 PV set up and the valves offer good bottom end for when not at WOT. I drag and dune as well and love it...I can get going from a rolling start and not have to clutch it to get on the pipe. I just hit it and go...
  20. you're pilot is fine....I'd try a fatter a main and see what happens.
