  1. No I'm pretty sure it's not reeds from a cr125
  2. What type of reeds to the Cheetah power valve take. I know the intake is a cr250 type, so I assumed the reeds were cr250's, I called trinity to see how much they were they said the reeds are TRX250 type reeds. I would like to have a spare set for when I go up to San Mountain.
  3. Or what oyo could do is put the camcorder in VCR mode and push play. Hit the "Take picture button" as if you were going to take a picture and it should start to record onto the memory stick. and then download from the memory stick.
  4. Earlier tonight I was just thinking about the wheelie factor. I forgot about the wheelie factor because I was so worried that the engine would spin 8 paddles and I wouldn't have the traction. Then I started thinking about the fact that my fat ass is heavier than you and figured that would give some extra traction and how my '99 performed with the 8 paddle Sand Sharks. With what you listed above and the other factors factored in I am going to get the 8 paddles. If I really want to point the nose up all I have to do is give a little more gas and dump the clutch or just nail it in a low gear, It's not like a have a wimpy motor. Don't worry kai I never doubted your advise even slightly...you have provided way too much info that has been damn near perfect....At this point if you said a boost bottle would add more HP I would go buy one and put it on.
  5. I'm currently running a 14/41 gearing.
  6. Cool.....So I should line up in 2nd gear with the way my 05 is currently set up with some 22x11x10 extreme's (Haven't decided on 8 or 10 paddles..) Bike will be a genral duner with me lining up just for the hell of it. I know 10 paddles may be over kill for just messing around in the dunes but I'm afraid that when I line up that I will just spin and regret not having the extra couple paddles...
  7. In my hunt for some paddle tires I came across a lot of threads about tire size and how important it was to choose the correct size for dragging/hillshooting because of gearing set ups and what gear you will be launching in...Now why is that a critical piece of info??? Ok I kinda figured it out on my own and doing a little reading that, for example, a 2-5 override tranny is consists of gears 2,3,4&5 and that you slam through the gears at full throttle without the clutch but once you come off the gas you have to pull the clutch in at the same time to avoid bending the shift forks and to avoid backload of the tranny(Hope I have the terminology right) Ok my question is why do you line up and launch in second gear? Why don't you start in 1st and go through all the gears?? I don't have an override tranny,,,still the stock trannny with aftermarket clutch basket and plates... Thanks in advance..
  8. i did some more research and i confirmed my decision....I'm going to run a 10x9. I was going to run that anyway but from whay I read the answers I had on the other sizes were answered.
  9. vitosperformance.com they have a lot to coosee from.
  10. I got off of work early and while I was there we were talking about going to sand mountain in Nevada. We were on the subject of paddles and rims etc... I explained that I still needed to buy some paddles and rims. I explained that I was going to buy a 10x9 rim for 22x11x10 Skat Trak Extreme paddles for general duning and for some hill shooting. There was no questioning on my tire decision but they asked why a 10x9 rim,, Why not 8x8 or a 8x10. I explained that a 8" rim would cause for roll than I liked for that size tire while I'm screwing around in the dunes. Ok got that resolved and then they started asking why a 10x8 or a 10x10. I told them a 8" was too skinny and a 10 was a little to wide and I would be afraid the bead on the tires wouldn't hold very well. I have advise from a person who's advise I trust and will buy a 10x9. Are there any benefits getting a 10x10 or a 10x8 instead of a 10x9??
  11. I have a +4 and I love it. i like it so much I am thinking about getting one and installing it on my '99..Once I get my '05 out to the track and see how it reacts to jumps and the track i'll make my final decision..
