  1. Anything above 160 psi for compression is straight race fuel...Below 160 can be either a mix of 50/50 race and pump gas or just pump gas.
  2. the clip is on the needle in the slide. You have to take the spring out and unscrew the metal piece in there. There are 5 grooves on the needle numbered 1-5 starting at the top and counting down. The C-Clip should be in the 3rd clip. You will want to move it one grove down which will inturn raise the needle making the fuel/air mixture richer, if that is what you want to do.
  3. I ran a 280 all year long...I was a little rich during half the year and right on the other half of the year.
  4. Stock size is around a 260, I think. What size are the main jets is in it now??? If you don't know what I'm talking about go get a clymer manual for your shee and it will explain what we're talking about... Refer to post #2 in this link http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...mp;#entry627356 Dude not to be a dick....but you never answered any questions in the your post you posted yesterday. Answer those questions(that you can answer) and we'll be able to help you out and ask any and all questions and problems you have..Also the search button works, use that and you will find more info than you can believe
  5. Awesome...When I get my paddles mounted I will ask to see how much to remove the tires and let you know sometime this week.
  6. Just curious..when are you wanting to do the trade by?? So I have an idea of when to get the tires removed?? They charge $20 per tire to remove and replace..Might need to wait until the 15th.
  7. Oh and yes the rims i'm talking about are the rims on my black banshee.
  8. Dude I completely brain farted on that one.....For some reason I thought you wanted the gold rims....I fee like an ass right now...I would be more than willing to trade with you but the only thing is, is that I would like to keep some tires on it because I can go ride at the drop of a hat...My supervisor and a few others I work with ride as well and we can leave work right when we get there and go ride...
  9. Hey 06....I have some rims on the way to me for my sand paddles. once they come I'm going to go get those mounted. I am also going to swap the tire and rims around on my '99 from the sand tires for it...So the gold rims will be ready to ship say.... next weekend if you haven't got them sold or traded yet let me know..I'll trade
  10. When starting it make sure it's in Neutral...Then it shouldn't jerk forward when trying to start it. The clutch may need to be adjusted a bit, But not a big deal..Also make sure there's the correct amount of gear oil in it. If it jerk forward in neutral then you have clutch issues. As far as your misfire issue....you need to answer these questions... 1. Is the air box removed or installed a. what type of filter are on it if the airbox is removed 2. Have you synchronized the carbs? 3 have you cleaned the carbs thoroghly? 4. Any engine/intake/exhaust mods ( Are you running Full Pro Circuit exhaust) 5. What is your current jetting at?(Should have rejetted when installing the Pro Circuits) 6. What is your elevation? 7. Have you done a compression check?( This is a good idea to see how healthy your engine is) 8. Did you make sure your air screws are 1.5-2 turns from fully seated? 9. Is the TORS crap still attached/connected to the carbs?? 10. If the TORS is still there...GET RID OF IT. The more info we have on the mods and bike and you elevation the more we will be able to help you.... CONGRATS on your purchase of a banshee, Welcome to the HQ and most of all....Welcome to the addiction.
  11. If you can't find any in the area get a hold of Kaotik1 here on the board. he does some AWEOME Powder coating colors... and the quality is top notch. Not sure how he preps the items though.
  12. I have a twist on my '05 and a thumb on my '99 banshee's. I like both. I, like you, only had the experiance with twist throtles. If you are going to be doing mostly duning I would go with the twist, if you are going to do alot of riding on a MX track I would go with the thumb throttle, or some trials with tight turns I might go with the thumb. It all depends on what type of riding you're going to be doing.
  13. I'm not sure if there's a thread but when I cut mine a used a dremel with a tile cutting bit....worked very well. What I did was figured out what I wanted to cut off and then layed a piece of tape down for reference. I started at the bottom rear of the fender and cut along the tape. once it was all off I used some sand paper and smoothed everything out.
  14. I forgo tto mention that the guy I talked to was pretty knowledgable with his quads..Said i wouldn't need the kevlar paddles.
  15. If you want to and can trade now don't wait on me....Go for it.
  16. Won't be able to do it tomorrow.....I have a full plate tomorrow and Won't have the time to take them to the shop to get them removed and sent out.
  17. When you looking to trade?? I have the polished silver....They aren't shiney and reflective like Chrome usually is...But they are the stock rims
  18. I ordered my exreme paddles YESTERDAY and I cam home today and the damn tires are already sitting at my front door. Talk about quick shipping and I didn't pay for over night shipping. That's a A++++++++ for service and shipping.
  19. I swear I will get more video of the shee. I just need another person to be with me when i ride.
  20. The MX track is the only place I could really open her up. There's a access road that goes around the track and it has a long straight scetion that I wanted to fly down..ANd I wanted to see how the thing reacted on jumps and stuff. Before I get to the dunes and try jumping it and not know what to expect when it's airborn. And yes I can handle it....and no I need power
  21. I tried to get video but my damn connector came loose and all I got was a bunch of static. There was a guy out there on his 450 when I was on my way back to the truck...I passed him in 4th gear. He came to the truck and asked what I had done to the motor. i explained what the motor was and he said that's the fastest banshee he's ever seen. He said that there was no way his 450 would keep up.
  22. After work I took the Shee to the base MX track to finish breaking her in. Took her around the track a few times to warm the engine up and too see the improvements and changes that were made. Found a couple Jumps that i knew I could hit easily so on and so forth.. Well I came back to the start of the track and took off...well the back tires did...they just spun. so I eased off and they caught and about ripped my arms off...The first thing I noticed is that the +4 swinger wasn't letting the back end slide out as easily as my '99 does..no big deal a littel more gas....I spun a 180...Turn back around and get going again... came up to the first jump that I knew I could hit...That damn swinger kicked my ass end up and I almost went over the bars...Thought I preloaded wrong..No big deal....Hit the 2nd jump...and the 3rd....still doing my best to not go over the bars...after a few more jumps and it wanting to kick me over the bars I said to hell with this.. SO I started to cruise around the track and try to get the ass slide down...I either spun 180 or the swinger would not let the ass swing out and would make the tires grip and launch me forward...Also......1/4 twist twist throttle is not the type of throttle you want to have with a 421cc motor...that damn thing is very touchy...especially on right hand turns...I launched myself over a berm because as I was trying to get the back to kick out I twisted my wrist and the back tires caught and launched me up and over the berm and almost over the handle bars once again...So I say screw this and decided to go around the outside of the track in a circle. Well I found out what you all said when the power band kicks in late with the CPI's.. I was in 3rd gear and the powerband hit and I just about found myself on my ass on the ground behind the shee....Thank god my boot caught the fender..that's what kept me from gong all the off. So what did I learn...A 421cc cheetah powervalve motor with a +4 swinger has no reason to be on a MX track....It was too damn fun but but not as fun as on my '99 when I actually have traction and could hit the big jumps and it not try buck me over the handlebars. and the cheetah is a hand full. That thing is a damn powerhouse....
  23. Not sure where the kit was bought from.... The guy from trinity wasn't even sure.... Nyuk. What year bike did you buy reeds for?? I bought the bike from Bansheeseat$$ and when I picked it up he said they were CR250 reeds..But I forgot what year...The reeds are year specific...I already PM'd him but he's at work. I figured I might post a thread to see if anyone else knew.
