  1. Oh they will bleed! Just takes ALOT of patience. Best of luck. The submerge trick is ok, but its hard to be totally sure there is ZERO air between fluid on each end of the line. The hand pump vacuums are good stuff though. But either way its pump and pray with the banshee brakes.
  2. You guys have the same mods? And how is a main affecting the start up?
  3. Three threads same question. Same answer. Have you done a squish test yet? What was the reading and how did you get it. That is really more important then what cranking compression is....
  4. Done right they will and do. Less weight for about the same power to weight ratio. It can do a lot for a little machine.
  5. Yes Calvin Pollet makes them. The site has been long over due for an update.
  6. Kind of a bad example since not many pros run 2 strokes anymore. The coating really wasn't to widely used when they were running 2 strokes. They are putting a lot of coatings on the thumpers though. And I mean ALot!
  7. Yes very much so! There are a few pipes that it works well on but there are also a lot of pipes that lose performance when coating. I had a short discussion with Mat Shearer a long time ago about this. Not so much the exploding in the pipe thing but the way the heat moves. I have only heard of inner pipe exploding that bad one time and it was in a shifter kart with a CR500 motor. It's all about the design, and a properly designed pipe would not benefit the coating. In fact it would effectively ruin a well built set of pipes.
  8. There are a lot of quirky things that have been done to these cylinders in the past but just don't happen a lot anymore because of time constraints and how much money that time costs a builder vs. a cylinder of equel potential out of the box. And it just bolts together for way less work wich means less shop rate. As far as the BOYHESON ports being done there are guys doing them. Some even weld the base and massage it in to the transfer area and even add a transfer type port.
  9. Banshees are gonna like a bit more then the previous .028 squish you produced before.
  10. I like it. Wish it wasn't a bunch of gp street bike stuff though. If there was a way to do even generic Atv/Moto stickers it would be a hot seller. Them monster folks would eat it up!
  11. ^this. Assemble it with no gasket again and do a squish test to see if a gasket is doable.
  12. Tony at TDR put me on to that stuff. Freaking awesome! (Toyota seal packing)
  13. That's alotta chedda' for shipping differences. Must be dealing with the same packing company as rattle can ray! On a serious note, you should have been given a call and at least he/she been willing to split the shipping.
  14. I had a Polaris 4x4 I picked up for plowing the ice and the dealer couldn't get the new starter to work and gave up. So I bought it with the presumption that a qualified dealer went over the starter. I looked at it and the had the positive wires to the negative and vise versa. Bike starts and the instant you push the button now. Dealers can be worth less.
  15. Seizecos, huh....... That's funny
  16. Yeah...... Those big motors are mean to parts.
  17. Just busting your balls man....
  18. So is this where we get your expert right wing opinion about how since you can't figure out how to run alky with out melting pistons, that most people shouldn't bother?
  19. Yeah, I will pm you the specs later though. I have to admit if Jim was re porting your cylinders he would of known that there was previous work done by him on those cylinders and he should of speced them accordingly. As long as he gets you right though it should haul the mail.
  20. Also, have you speced all the electrical to Jims reccomendations? If its not lighting right, it won't jet right.
  21. That thing is gonna be a monster down low once you get it dialed in. If it is fouling plugs I would venture to say that you can get away with leaning up the needle quite a bit and maybe try a 155/158 main. But for some reason the 12 port really loves excessive fuel. Just a bit of a dance as to where the sweet spot is.
  22. Dig that. Always nice when the simple stuff works.
  23. Hoosier tri trac
