  1. Well he should be paying you to touch your shit if he's clueless..... Those 392 cyls are set up for stock stroke. Did he know there was a 4mil going in it? It takes a bit more then cleaning things up and smoothing out the ports to make it work. Nobody caught the stage 5 pro circuits?
  2. Looking at this photo I hope you didn't spend much because there sure ain't much done. It looks like they just cleaned things up and massaged the openings just enough to work with the 4mm stroke. I doubt it will make very much power as there is ZERO work done to the transfers as that is where the power really is. In the right hands with he right components those cylinders can make a good 75-85 HP with out being drag cylinders. But yours will probably be in the 50 range as is.
  3. ^ yeah, you don't wanna look like a pussy do ya? Haha
  4. Bitchin carbs sprinkler! OP, there are a lot of guys out there that can do alky conversions on carbs. I'd steer clear of converting your air strykers though. Maybe some 39mm PWK's. but that means you'd be buying new carbs, then sending them out to be re configured, you might as well grab up those carbs sprinkler posted. But if you are absolutely adamant about new carbs send them off to A&S, K&T, Packard, or RDZ.
  5. Ok, figured it would be fiberglass wrap style instead of the steel wool type stuff.
  6. Just picked up a pretty nice set of Shearer inframes from another member here and wanna make sure they are as fresh as possible before bolting them on. What kind of packing comes in these things stock? Just trying to get it ordered so it is here and ready when I have time to open them up.
  7. Lean, or...... Coolant.
  8. Got my shearers in today! Super clean! Thanks For getting them out ASAP! Bump for a kick ass seller.
  9. Great shape shearers for good price. Sent when promised and packed up very well. Extremely well.......
  10. David makes the heads for many distributors as they all know that his head is high quality at a great price. Nothing wrong with buying one part and supporting two great companies like FAST and NOSS.
  11. There are Two companies known very well for their ability to massage the T-Rex's. They are K&T and TDR. Tony at TDR has a huge surplus of rex stuff and K&T can tweak them to really run. They can be reconfigured and updated to be some serious contenders if done right. That usually means time and money..... However the T-Rex's can be had pretty cheap. Add on the fact that many of them are already gone through. Some good and many not so good so beware..... But I would imagine that you are looking at the one currently in the for sale section? That's done by K&T right? Buy that mother fucker! Send it over to them to be checked out.
  12. If you aren't using it, make sure to clean the threads out and use a proper brass plug with thread compound. No rubber nipple cover. They are Un reliable as far as sealing.
  13. That eBay link surf posted is JJ&A
  14. I picked one up out of the trash a few years ago because I saw a guy do a transmission case in one out in the garage. I was baffled but they are pretty damn good at cleaning that stuff. NOTE: Do not use regular soap or any other cleaner in the dish washer! Pre wash heavy junk with degreaser and hose/sink.
  15. ^ pshh.... This guy!
  16. ^ so you're the "Re-man" tranny builder pumping out all those grenades! Haha On a serious note: wait till the wife or parentals are gone and huck your shit in the dishwasher on pots and pans.
  17. You certainly can run these things wide open. I was a bit shy of the idea of it all at first but I've done a lot of wide open riding with no melt downs. The bigger cranks leave me timid but as of lately I'm pretty convinced its possible to spin a 10 mil for long durations of time. People seem to forget the banshee motor is basically a power valve less cousin to the RZ350, which was meant for running wide open. The Pikes Peak guys build banshees to run wide open up a hill for a long stretch to. Specialblend on here built a DM motor that is apparently not over heating so it's doable.
  18. Dunno, just know he's pushing them pretty hard. I'm not sure what exactley he's doing though. Maybe just rods and bearing upgrade with fresh welds? Not ready to accept them as good or better then a HotRods forged crank
  19. Trying to get my buddy to pony up for the parts I asked about earlier in the thread. Status on the ice tires and moose wraps?
  20. Fast or driveline
  21. Make sure to get Kevin's supreme not so wang crank! It's cheaper then any quality crank but he goes over it with a magic wand so you know it's good.
  22. Well damn, those are pretty familiar. Just need to make sure whatever shock you use has some clearance on the bottom. Ideally a custom shock is best but this works pretty good for the flat stuff.
  23. That combo should more then likely burn C12 completely, especially with some timing. As for E85.. Junk! Either gas or alky. The middle ground carries all the wrong qualities other then cost.
