  1. round is stronger and looks way nicer.
  2. I think you will do good with those 21-12-8 tires. Get the thinest lightest set of dougles rims. They will not bend if you have good tire pressure. I think 9 paddle tires will be good for you.
  3. with that clutch you dont really need all six springs. I put all 6 in and there was NO slip so I put 4 in and its working better for me. It would stall off the line unless I reved it out with all 6 in there.
  4. You might want to look into the cub cylinders from cp industries. There are about 900 bare and about 275 for porting but you can use all the same parts you have now and gain a lot more hp than any other mod out there. You can check out bansheeracing.com for some dyno results with different set-ups too.
  5. With that much hp you might want to get a longer swing arm. I am also 230lbs and have a +6 swing arm with a stronger eibach spring and am using 22-11-8 on 9 paddles buffed from bead to bead. This combo works very well for me at glamis. For gearing you might want to try 14-44 to 45 with a 135 link chain.
  6. Tire sizes have a huge effect on traction. 22-11-8 tires have something like twice the amount of traction as a 20-10-10 tire. If you have an extended swing arm 22-11-8 tires are great and if you have stock length swing arm then 20-10-10's are ok. The 22's also require you to lean more when turning. If you drag and dune then you might want to get 21in tires on 8inch rims. The number of paddles is detremined to the amount of hp you have and how much you weigh. Ask skat trak about this an see what they say. I would only get skat trak also because they weight a lot less which is more hp.
  7. I have a trinity head, impeller and 2 25 fin coolers and it still gets hot and dumps radiator fluid. The guy on ebay sell them for 12 each I think. I am going to buy two more and if that does not work then its time for a larger radiator.
  8. ok, I have overfilled it for the past 4 years now and have never welded the rod to the ball. I learned this from Rudy Kurts at portmagic. If any of you have heard of him you would know he knows his stuff about banshee's.
  9. some guy on ebay has 25 fin ones. You can put 4 of them on if you want. Maybe 8deg drop with 4?
  10. I have a 35 and in the winter I use 230 mains and thats the biggest they make. 38 might be a good idea for me durring the winter at glamis.
  11. where are you at? I live in orange county and can help you out. I can do it all.
  12. it will help a lot and is well worth the price. You wont get tired that fast.
  13. the clutch hits the on/off switch which sucks. I moved it to the right of the clutch perch and it worked fine but you will need really huge hands like mine to turn off the bike and hold in the clutch at the same time. I like the way the clutch peice feels when I pull it in, it just feels good against my hand unlike the stock one which felt like it was cutting my fingers off lol.
  14. any gas passed 100 octaine is leaded and it will mess up catilitic converters so we dont need to worry about them
  15. This is what you need. Aftermarket fibers tear up your basket quick and then you will need to get a expensive ass hinson basket. These fibers are at your dealer for about 8-10bucks each to thats about 56-70 dollars for some nice fibers that hook up very well. These are what the guys at wicked motorsports uses in their 140hp+ assfault quads. Dont say I did not warn you about aftermarket crap.
  16. you might need a gasket for the clutch cover if it tears when you take it off.
  17. I have +3+1 and they are great but if i was going to do it again I would get +3+2 so it could turn easier. But for tight trail ridding you might be better with the +2+2. Also check out dave moore. He makes a different style that is really light and look good too. I think his site is davemooreracing.com
  18. Hey I just wanted you all to know about this thing me and my friends have been doing. We found out about this web site from a computer magazine artical about it. Well anyways they give out free electronic stuff. You have to look at one of their sponsers and have 8 of your friends do it as well in order to recieve the gift. So far 3 of my friends have gotten an i-pod and I am getting a 27" sony flat screen tv. This is the real deal. Here is the link. http://www.FreeFlatScreens.com/?r=15652517 I did the blockbuster one if anyone was currious and cancelled before the month was over but there are others too.
  19. nope your going to get smoked by a 450 at glamis. Take that grand and by those cheeta cub cylinders and no true 450 will be able to hang with you. The banshee cylinder came out in the 80's so the technology is way outdated. The cub is new design and eventually will send the stock cylinder to the grave. A&S is one of the best builders out there. Most people except here have never even heard of passion racing. Go to planetsand.com if you want to get another opinion.
  20. Chris used to offer us bansheehq members 20 including shipping. Everyone needs one of these. If you dont you will one day break a chain and it could put a hole in your case. Then to fix that is a pain in the ass.
  21. Check out bansheeracing.com for dynos of the cheata cub cylinders. People say the 4mm is not worth the money unless your stock crank broke. They say it is only 5-7 more hp and if your going to stoke it then go +7. Remember with all the horsepower you will have to buy a lot of other things for it to work such as radiator, maybe straight cut gears, lock-up clutch, basket........ The price goes sky high. Im not sure why strockers give more tourque but they do.
  22. You can get a 35 pwk for about $150.
  23. If the left seal is messed up then it will suck in air and lean out that cylinder so do a plug check and if it is the problem then the left plug will be white. If it is the right side it will suck in all the tranny oil and spit it out the exhaust. You can also check for these problems with a leak down tester.
  24. Jim is in oklahoma so there is no tax for california residents. If you are not going to get the 22 then try the 21 because it gets the bike higher off the ground and helps with the suspension. I dont ever bottom out now either too from the change but I agree with you about how the 22 are great for drag but you will have to lean more in the turns.
  25. 180 is a ok compression. Anything over that will wear shit out faster and loose top end.
