  1. I posted another topic about spitting and cutting out at full out....... not sure still whats going on......... The bike spitts and cutts out at full throttle and nothing except race gas was the change for the last ride.. Any chance a worn out or bad reed would cause this? FYI, the bike runs great at iddle and mid band, but full out is choking out .. Also, its seems to get much better after it warms up. Thought?/ thanks ya'll
  2. Whats sg ? I have been running Klotz bean oil for ever.. at about 35-36/1 never had this problem before with the oil mix the bike runs perfect all the time, the only thing I changed was the race gas........... does anyone think it could be the REeds?
  3. Did not try jetting the plugs where a perfect tan, and a little wet.......plus I hav used the same set up at the same place a few times............ so either bad gas, or something else any chance it might be a reed.......would it act like that?
  4. I had just bought some race gas at the dunes......... so, it was fresh.......but someone else mention maybe some bad gass, ya think that might have been itt? never had the problem with pump gas..
  5. Hey all, I have a small problem......... Went to the dunes this weekend and had aproblem with the bike sputtering and spitting only at full out throttle. The bike iddles perfect, and even mid throttle runs good, just wide open did it. I cleaned the carbs and new plugs...jetted perfect cause it has never done this before with the same set up. Was wondering if anyone had a thought on it...... I did replace the plugs and it seemed to go away, but the returned shortly. I also should mention that when it gets warmer it seems better, when its cold it is really bad.. Could this be a reed problem? They are still stock and it is an 2003. Thoughts Thanks
  6. So, 1st. whats your elevation? If its close to sea level, you should be around 320 mains and 30 pilots.......I think FMF recomends a 32.5 pilot, but I could not get it started with it, so I run the 30........stock needle position and 1 1/2 turns out on the air mix...... lid off air box and K&N filter.......... runs like a raped ape:) have fun
  7. hey all, I was at Sand Lake last weekend and there was a guy with a Banshee that had some small neon tubes zip tied to the frame and they looked bad assssss.........he said it was a stock stater........can this be done without issues to the stock charging stater? wanna do this....but dont want to hurt my shat....... thoughts? thanks
  8. running my banshee at 320 and 27.5 pilots..........runs like a raped ape.... elevation sea level in portland oregon. air mix screw at 1.5 turns out:) good luck by the way, I tried the pilot at 30 and it would not even start, so.....I would try the 27.5 if I were you
  9. where do you ride now......wher are you from? and what works there?
  10. dang those are freakin' awesome so, those are thermacoating? were they chrome before or what did they look like before? nice bike man.......
