Yes I did I said he had a K&N, If by stock you mean connected to the stock mount then yes it is stock but he cut the whole airbox off so Full FmF Pipe and K&N with airbox removed there is a huge diversity in everyones answers ha ha I'm not sure what to go with... any other suggestions? Hey guys I know this is the banshee Hq but have noticed that alot of you guys have YFZ450's as well so I am hoping you may have some advice. Anyways my buddie has a 09 YFZ450 with FmF full exhause and K&N filter he has been running stock jetting for like 6 months! What would you recomend he switch his jetting too? We are at about 4500 ft he lacks the know how to tune it as do I and he is considering paying the shop $100 to Jet it! ha ha any help is much appriciated thanks guys!

Ok so new question... I found a local dealer with a brand new 06 banshee the white plastics with candy red frame (my personal favorite) never even had gas in the tank they selling it for $5,200 plus tags, tax and license blah blah blah... what do you guys think? I think it is a little steep but nothing beats new shit Thanks for all the help guys!

Yes sir I have been looking at KSL and such and I can get a good deal on some good looking machines! I agree with the banshee being way more fun I usually ride out at big sand mountain. My only problem was that my old banshee wasn't much fun on the hard stuff (Then again I had a 13T sproket). Any noises or other signs I should look for when buying a used bike banshee in particular? Hey guys so I will be buying a quad in the summer and need to know what to look for when looking at them. I am pretty sure I am going to get a banshee so first off what are things to look for when buying a used banshee? I have always just bought new things so I know it's history ( or lack there of). Also I am going to be checking out a few 450's what should I look for when looking at used 4 strokes? Thanks for the help guys I want to avoid buying a lemon as I am not very mechanically inclined!

I ran some modified sand geckos (cut off the random spikes and took about an 1/2 inch off the v's) on my first banshee I have to admit the V does help with turning if you use your rear wheels to help turn. I later got Skat Trak 8 paddle Haulers and the hook up was amazing it was a little harder to turn but the benefits far outweighed the cons. Oh and the Skat Traks felt like balloons compared to my other tires when it came to weight they are freakishly light!

Can you explain the advantage of a 15 tooth? I loved the wheelspin my 13 tooth had it sucked on the hard stuff but was awesome for dunes?

Ok ya I wasnt 100% sure on the flywheel just remember it was mentioned like 4 years ago when I was on this site! Additions to the list I forgot Skat Trak Tires all around I am thinking 8 paddle hauler I had them on my last bike and they hooked great Wisco pro light pistions I was thinking maybe a +4 swingarm? How would this affect the jumping capabilities? As far as the suspension what upgrades are you talking? I remember bottoming out a few times when I jumped my old bike but for a 20+ year old design it seemed decent! Thanks for the input guys keep it coming!

Ok so I am going to buy a banshee in july I had one before and cannot get it off my mind! so much fun! anyways this is the setup I think I will be going with let me know what you think and how much HP would you guess? Assuming I buy a totally stock one... Highley doubt I can find one Toomy T-5 K&N filters Noss Machine Head 19 or 18 cc doms ( Sand Mountain utah? suggetions?) Advanced timing plate slightley lightened flywheel dune port or race port? (mostley for running up the hills and just messing around on the razorbacks? Suggestions?) true and welded crank Do you guys think I will benifiet from bigger carbs? If so suggestions? 13 tooth up front I want to keep as much reliability as possible but think this build would be able to scream let me know what you all think! Thanks!

i dont really know about the hp gains, but as far as the dirtyness goes if you dont have a black bike good luck my silencer fell of for about 300 yards and now my white plastics are balck as night on the under part and there was signs of melting so i wouldnt try it unless you dont got rear fenders
