I have not been on the Hq almost all summer,Its nice to be back. At the end of last dune season I seized my 4mil cub. I was so frustrated, made sure the jetting was right, cooled it off after racin' up the hill a few times. I did everything in my power to make sure nothing would happen to the engine, and of course the right piston siezed in the cylinder  I was without any doubt fixing it and selling my bike and going 4-poke. I had figured that owning a Banshee was just not for me. So after a long summer It was time to put it back together and put her up for sale. Jeff at F.a.s.t has treated me awsome on any parts purchases and been more than helpful with any questions,so without any doubt my cub cylinder was sent to him. I bought my cylinder from another builder and he drag ported it for me.I was pretty happy with the power my bansh now had,but it had the worst powerband i have ever seen. It was liked someone flicked a light switch and it would almost rip your arms from thier sockets. I heard from everyone that cubs had no bottom end so I thought it is what it is. After a lot of dyno runs and a ton of fine tuning it was finally ready to ride. Dont get me wrong my bike was fast, to make a really long story some-what short Jeff really was curious to see what another builder was doing for port work, unfortunatly at my expense. Being the guy Jeff is he inspected the cylinder and did what he could to fix the old port job and maybe clear up some of the powerband issues. Well I would say that Jeff again went above and beyond. Before I put everything back together I had spoke to Jeff and he said the reason the r/s siezed was that the ring had caught on the port.
I just have to say that after getting it full of gas it started right up and immediately sounded deeper more throughty and crisp. It revved quicker and just sounded awsome. :woot: So after the heat cycles he recommended I took it out broke it in like Jeff had instructed. WHAT a difference much smoother transition from bottom to top, more crisp seems to be quite a bit faster. Jeff I'm heading to the Glamis this weekend and I can't wait to ride it.
JUST WANTED TO THANK YOU AGAIN FOR KEEPING ME ON A BANSHEE.
I'll let everyone know how it does !!!!!
