  1. nah not likely. has it run fine since then or not?
  2. sweet. report back with your results.
  3. if youre only riding in the dunes then toss it. its not that likely youre gonna mess up your chain and rotor in the sand. if youre running in the trails all the time with tree stumps and rocks then i would suggest leaving it on.
  4. so the clutch arm that comes out of the case can be turned by hand? sounds like you might have welded the clutch rod to the ball. if thats the case, you will probably need a new clutch shaft. you will need to do the following: 1. drain the coolant by pulling the hose off that goes into the front of the clutch cover. 2. drain the oil via the drain bolt on the bottom of the case. 3. take kick starter off. 4. take clutch cover off. 5. take the pressure plate off by loosening the 6 bolts that hold the clutch springs. 6. pull the pressure plate off. once the pressure plate is off, you should be able to look in there and see whats going on. chances are the clutch ball has welded itself to the push rod and the inside of the clutch shaft. were you guys using the clutch a lot? doing donuts maybe and using the clutch a lot?
  5. nice job bro. those fuckin 4 pokes didnt stand a chance against the banshee. its too bad that track isnt a little bigger so you could really open it up and walk away from the rest of the pack.
  6. popping could indicate a lean condition. if the carbs were never jetted properly for the modifications, then thats more than likely the issue. like AK said, i would take the carbs out and become familiar with them. pull the bowls off and see what jets are in there. then report back. your pilot needs to be a 27.5 and im guessing 270-300 main.
  7. welcome to the HQ homie! i would ditch that boost bottle. it doesnt help performance and it clutters up the engine area. with that gone, itll be easier to work on. you can find a stock crossover tube from NYUK here on HQ for next to nothing. your pilots will be 27.5 and i would start with a 320 or 330 main depending on how cold it is. you can always lean it up some. better off being too rich to begin with. run the needle in the middle clip position.
  8. first off, welcome to HQ bro! i would run klotz premix at 40:1. stay away from yamalube as that stuff is junk. i would ditch the boost bottle and get a stock crossover tube to put back in there. the boost bottle does nothing for performance and clutters up the engine area. you can get one for next to nothing from NYUK here on HQ. check your outerwares for dust and dirt. while they do keep stuff out of the filters, they can plug up so bad that your bike will starve for air. i actually recommend taking them off entirely unless youre only riding in the sand. as far as bottom end and midrange, you will probably need some porting done to really notice any major gains. check with the site sponsors when it comes to parts and stuff. they offer great deals, are some of the best in the industry and its also a good way to give back to the site.
  9. if itll run by pouring gas in the carbs then the carbs are plugged up. pull the carbs off and take off the bowls on the bottom. clean them out well. take the pilots and mains out and make sure they are not plugged. also, make sure the carb itself is getting gas from the tank. welcome to HQ
  10. i can do it for 55 shipped.. no less.
  11. not happening. my banshee is good for one thing... going fast up a hill. the 450 is a good enough replacement for down there anyway.
  12. no one wants to ride?
  13. you should be fine. as far as for the dunes, we need more info. tires, rider weight, swingarm length, mods...
  14. its only gonna repair it so much. you could try it again just to see, but chances are thats as good as it gets.
  15. i got mine hangin in my shop. ill snag some pics today.
  16. 10mm cub.. 2-4 duneable from redline racing. worked wonders for 4 years.. go for it.
  17. pussy ass dude..
  18. damn, you won a banshee for $5? thats a killer deal. compression make sure air filter is clean check the front end for slop - check the ball joints and tie rod ends check the rear end for slop - check the axle area, make sure the axle nut is tight use good oil - klotz premix is a good one to use might make sure your brakes are good - they come in handy when youre riding fast these are just a few things, but will get you started.. welcome to the BHQ
  19. where exactly would he have gotten that idea? he didnt just make it up on his own. he is only 3. i mean, i believe you.. just pretty wild he was that specific about things.
  20. geez, some bitches are stupid..
  21. Welcome to HQ bro! dont mind the retards. if everyone used google to find everything, there would be no sense in this website existing. geez, shut up.
  22. they will start to go away as soon as the heat touches them. ive never used a heat gun, but i have used a propane torch. it works well and is easy to do.
  23. so the fittings on the carbs are smaller than the t-fitting? hmmm.. i know people on here have these carbs. someone will chime in sometime.
  24. do you always run the same gearing? i would recommend running 2 masterlinks so that you can swap out small pieces of chain in case of gearing changes that wont fit your current chain.
