  1. also, i went to lids today to scope out the hat size shit.. i wear a 7 1/4 and the l/xl was more comfortable to me. the s/m was just too tight. so if youre on the fence about it and dont want a headache from your hat being too tight, go with the bigger size.
  2. well it looks like ill be doing the following.. BLACK - outlines, www, com and Banshee Headquarters in white, fill with yellow. 2 S/M 3 L/XL RED - outlines, www, com and Banshee Headquarters in white, fill with black. 2 S/M 3 L/XL ROYAL - outlines, www, com and Banshee Headquarters in white, fill with gray. 2 S/M 3 L/XL GRAY - outlines, www, com and Banshee Headquarters in black, fill with red. 2 S/M 3 L/XL
  3. if you gain 2-3 hp from them for a couple hundred bucks, youre doing pretty good. aside from pipes, porting or a set of aftermarket cylinders, the HP gains are minimal and cost you a lot more.
  4. JD, i think you could probably get away with having only 2 of the set screws. and maybe a wing type screw so you dont need any tools for it? just an idea, carry on.
  5. well i got a price on doing the hats. looks like they would be about $23 shipped unless i can find a cheaper way to ship them. right now, i just figured on having to use the small $4.95 flat rate box. that would be for the Flexfit 6580 hat which has the look and feel of the MLB hats. you can check them out here if you want. FLEXFIT HATS i would probably do the colors the same as the shirts.. 1. black hat with yellow/white design. 2. red hat with black/white design. 3. that royal looks pretty nice. probably do it with white/grey design. 4. gray with black/red or black/blue? what are your guys thoughts and also, what size you guys wear in these hats? S/M is 6 3/4" to 7 1/4". L/XL is 7 1/8" to 7 5/8". if i can get some people commit to them ill go ahead and place an order. i can get any colors of the hats on that page, so let me know.
  6. is there some reason you keep quoting me? every time you do it you make yourself look even more stupid than the last time.
  7. welcome to HQ bro you drove all the way to iowa? where in iowa? its probably not too far from me.
  8. hahahaha what a goof ball!!! one time i left a rag in the exhuast of the cylinder after i put it all back together. started it up and wouldnt run. took me a while to find out the rag was trying to shoot out the exhaust..
  9. yea, i hear ya.. i do believe that people generally gravitate towards the lower prices, even though they arent thinking about a slightly higher price they may pay through a builder or one of the sponsors coming with the extra tech support.. however, i would encourage everyone that is buying parts to at least give one of the sponsors a chance to meet a lower price or at least come down on it some. they may tell you to fuck off, or they might work with you. you never know. i am in no way saying that this would for sure happen, but it cant hurt.
  10. fuck the banshee superstore.. HQ site sponsors have everything you need. they also keep the site FREE for those who choose not to become premium members.
  11. i think he was kidding..
  12. fuckin junk fords.
  13. awesome deal here guys. these cylinders go for like 900 new.
  14. that shit is badass!! you should banshee headquarters on the one with the BHQ. or at least offer that as a choice.
  15. im pretty sure those cases will work with anything up to 18mm.
  16. yep, theyve been posted here before. thats some pretty wild stuff right there. i dont even wanna know what that setup costs.
  17. Please welcome Wildcard Racing. I am sure some of you guys already have work done by Brandon or have bought things from him. He has been around HQ for a while now and will undoubtedly be a great addition to our HQ Sponsor team. Brandon's screen name here was "slobanshee06" but has requested i change it to "Wildcardracing."
  18. where are you located? i think you can probably find a better deal than that on something a little newer. also, i would stick with banshee a-arms on the bike. id stay away from the 450 front end conversion.
  19. i want to address the two parts in bold.. first, many people claim that one of the great things about the lectrons is that you dont need all the jets, which normally run you about $4 a piece give or take a little. the lectron needles are expensive as fuck, so buying all the ones you need to get tuned doesnt really jive with the theory that you dont need a bunch of extra shit laying around.. second, that was me that complained about the shitty hardware. for the price you pay for the lectrons, who wants to have to run out and buy parts for them? thats kind of absurd. my keihins hardware has worked fine for 4 years now. i still have the original philips head screws in them that came with the carbs. IF you can buy the carbs and have the correct needles with them, thats great. chances are though you wont get the right needles and to buy two of them is a lot of money, after youve already shelled out the big bucks for the carbs. the keihins are far more economical to buy. the jets are cheap and the jetting specs for nearly every setup are out there. it seems kind of funny to me that everyone is pushing the lectrons, claiming that tons of people run them, yet still talk about having to buy different needles to get them tuned in correctly.
  20. generally, most people do not buy a cool head expecting a huge temperature drop. most people buy them because they want the option of using different compressions at different points in time or with different motors.
  21. im done even bothering with this post. billybobby has contradicted himself so many times here its not even funny. i could go back and really tear into this fool, but the problem is that someone with his line of thinking wouldnt get it anyway, which is obvious because ive already clowned him several times in this thread yet he keeps coming back and proving my point for me each time.
  22. id prolly snag one to go on the shop wall..
  23. no, thats not what im saying. you can set up a banshee to be good at anything, but the only thing its ever going to be GREAT at is straight line, wide open throttle type racing. exactly. im not sure if you were trying to bust me out here, but you did nothing more than help prove what ive been saying the whole time. the banshee can be good at duning, good in the trails, good at mx, good for gncc...but, the one thing that the banshee is GREAT at and the one thing it will always be KING at is going very fast in a straight line. dollar for dollar, it simply cannot be beat. sounds like it is done? what are you even talking about. now youre starting to not make sense. what it is it DONE doing? and no, i didnt say it has no purpose, i said it has its purpose. you dont read well. for your information, i already did the whole raptor hybrid with a bullet bike motor.. i will enclose a picture at the end.. and also for your information, it still wasnt nearly as fast as a simple 4mm cub motor banshee. keeping the banshee motor DOES make sense. thats what we have been trying to explain to you. banshee is KING of straight line racing. always will be. for the same money, nothing else will come anywhere near beating a banshee. nice try, but move along. yea it is. 4mm cub motor and youre there. whats your point? just so you know, you can set up a banshee to have a more broad powerband. you can make a banshee more trail or dune friendly quite easily, but it takes money. you can pull a stock yfz450 off the showroom floor and take it straight to the dunes or trails. i agree with these. actually, the 4 strokers rumble more than a banshee does. thank you. you just helped me prove my point to you.. why are we debating this? you just stated EXACTLY what ive been saying the whole time: 1. dollar for dollar you cannot make a 450 motor perform like a banshee motor. 2. 450 is best for mx, trails, gncc, etc. 3. banshee is best for straight line speed.. my old 600rr raptor
