Fellow BansheeHQ Members, I feel like I should speak up here and put in my opinions. Most of you guys know that I didn't buy this site to make a bunch of money. I bought this site because riding banshees is what I do and I have made a ton of friends on here. I wanted to keep it going and improve it by offering shirts, sweatshirts, hats, stickers and beanies so that we could help out our forum sponsors and to represent the fastest bikes out there. Since I bought BansheeHQ I have been offered two and three times what I paid for the site. I declined all offers. I know what those clowns will do to an awesome website like this. The point of that was that I won't even accept all sponsorships for BansheeHQ. Someone with negative feedback or who is an asshole can take a hike for all I care. I have spoken with Ken Kimbler from Bansheeboyz.com. I too was under the impression that these guys were from the northeast. In fact, they are not. They are actually from Atmore, AL. It just so happens that Ken is good friends with David and Doug Despress, who now own the Rocket Pipes company, who I have also personally talked to. Ken contacted me last month about sponsoring BansheeHQ. At that time I took a look at his site and informed him that based solely upon the looks of his site that he probably wouldn't get much if any business on BHQ. I pointed out some of the grammar and spelling errors to him and he acknowledged that it was indeed pretty bad. I told him that when and if he got his page fixed that it would be a better time to sponsor the site. He agreed. Ken is one of the nicest guys I have talked to in the business. He is a well spoken guy who seems to know a thing or two about banshees. On top of that, it sounds like his customers are happy with their work. I actually have yet to read a negative comment about Ken or his work. The owners of Rocket Pipes also only had good things to say about him. I will agree that his website needs work. I am a stickler for grammar, punctuation and spelling and that's why I told Ken what I did. One of the reasons that I considered Ken for sponsorship was because of his location. He is down south and services a lot of bikes in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida and Mississippi. BansheeHQ has sponsors all over the United States and I thought Ken might be a good addition to HQ because of his location. I am still waiting to hear back from Ken about sponsorship as we talked before the holidays and I am sure he got busy. Bottom line, I believe Ken's character to be good and up to par with the rest of the site sponsors. I am not familiar with his work but haven't heard any negative yet. I suppose only time will tell because we all know the bad comes out eventually. I am not saying that you should use Ken for anything. I am simply saying I think he's a nice guy that really wants to break out of just the south when it comes to banshees. Your favorite tan and jacked guy, Tyler

im betting youll gain little to nothing. i still say v-force is the only way to go. theres a reason that almost all builders recommend running them.

because i cant ban every IP address. if he goes to another place with computers he can sign back up. i cant stop that. i did ban his current IP, email address and screen name. its not my fault these people deal with these clowns with 3 posts. i tell people not to, but they always do it anyway and then they get fucked. BHQ is not even responsible for this shit but i help these guys anyway.

pilots should be 45-50. mains should be 158-165. this will all depend on elevation and temperature. i would do a compression check on it for sure. if he wont let you then stay away from it. i dont think $2k is that bad of a deal for it if its in nice shape. its hard to tell by the pics.

the dmc's are good pipes. i wouldnt be too concerned with what pipes it has as much as id check the bike all over. make sure it doesnt look like its been abused too bad.

I have to sell my bike :'(
locogato11283 replied to matt33's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Not trying to be a dick, but the absolute most you will get out of that bike is probably $3,000. I just want you to know realistically what it might go for. -
wiseco pistons are not immune to freak problems, but they are the best as far as reliability goes. a few years back i bought some brand new wiseco pistons. when i got them, one of the pistons didnt have the dowel to stop the rings from spinning. the place i bought them from sent me out a new one asap. i would contact who you bought them from and possibly wiseco themselves.

first off, welcome to HQ homie! your blaster is not going to compare to a banshee with pipes. it will be a totally different kind of power. all banshees, whether ported, stroked or pipes all have the same chance of blowing up at any given time. dont let reliability be an issue in stopping you from really building a hopped up banshee. as long as you use a good premix oil like klotz, keep your air filter clean and change the tranny oil regularly you should be in good shape. banshees are no less reliable than your blaster, even when modded.

this dude is a fucking clown. its the second time ive banned him. hes not buying shit and definitely doesnt have any cash in hand.

2-4 or 2-5 is what you need.

i meant 2010.. my bad.

grandnational has been banned as of jan 4, 2009.

I agree with Andy. I would stay away from the neutral down unless you're only drag racing. I have a 2-4 duneable and it's more than enough for what I do. I would check with Andy about a 2-5 possibly.

this thread is awesome. a backflip on a banshee will def not look the same as on a 4 stroke. its gonna look way cooler.

THUMB THROTTLE TOO STIFF

what carbs do you have? -
its probably going to come down to gearing, traction and rider weight. top end hes going to pull on you simply because of his pipes.

are the dunes in waynoka worth a 9 hr drive?
locogato11283 replied to wadlesw96's topic in Riding and Events Forum
yea its worth it. youre about 8 hours from there. i live in st. joe and its about 6 hours from me. you will definitely need rear paddles. the fronts are only optional. the dirtbikes actually get around pretty decent without a rear paddle, but theyll really fly with a rear paddle. -
I read that the card pretty much sucked. heard the main event sucked. Sounds like JDS needs a step up in competition though. He looked good?

ive run over my leg several times. as long as youre wearing riding boots you should be in pretty good shape. sure there are those few and far between times, but for the most part you should be ok. my left leg seems to come off more than my right, especially when hillclimbing. i think its due to me trying to keep my foot away from the shifter. ive landed off big jumps and ran over my left leg twice that i can remember. i walked away fine. if you can find the heel guards that go with those roll pegs, thats what id recommend.

You shouldn't even be kicking it over until you feel the bowls are full of gas, which only takes a few seconds.

have you checked your ground lately? the coil is mounted to two tabs that should be ground down to bare metal to get a good ground to the coil. the coil's tabs are metal so make sure they are good and clean and not rusted. thats where id start. what is your jetting?

you should be able to dig it out of there without taking out the shift shaft. try using a screw to get it pulled out or something pointed. once its out, just slide the new one over the shaft and tap or press it in place evenly.
