  1. x2. make sure to pay really close attention to all the crank bearings. look down thru the rod holes at the rod bearings for pits. roll all the bearings and check them over as best you can while its out.
  2. ive had spark plug caps do that. check the resistance of them with ohm meter
  3. lol good stuff adam. wish i would have rode your bike a couple weeks ago at haspin now. let me know next time you guys go out there
  4. pressure plate is prolly turned wrong like victor said. try pulling the pressure plate back off and turning it one hole and see if that helps.
  5. so wheres stephens video?
  6. wow man thats awesome. so did you come in second and your brother first? still havent got your sprocket issues figured out i guess?
  7. 260 should be pretty close. you could go up to a 270 or 280 to be safe but unless the plugs are showing lean i wouldnt worry about it. what do you mean by it is running lean? make sure your choke tube is hooked up and everything is good and tight. also you can put a 27.5 pilot jet in to help with hard starting.
  8. wow nice work man. looks like you got two toys for the price of one. now sell the cannondale and you can put together one hell of a banshee lol jk.
  9. please send pics and shipped price of rear res cap to me. roland8883@yahoo or on here is fine. also throw in some pics of k and n's please. you take paypal?
  10. x2. i have chariot cages and i just used a razor blade to cut the stuffers out
  11. clean surfaces and good gaskets is all you need
  12. actually you were the one busting the op's balls about it taking a long time to get it back together. i dont think anyone is doubting that it can be done in 3 hours. just that it cant be done correctly in 3 hours. how can you expect any type of silicone to fully set up and be treated in just 3 hours. especially when it is smushed inside of such an unventilated area. hell jb quik weld takes longer than that to fully cure.
  13. its really something you need some experience at to do yourself. if you have extra jugs laying around you could give it a shot, but otherwise id let a professional handle it. if you make one wrong move with a dremel you could be purchasing some used cylinders
  14. im running wiseco right now but only because i traded top ends. i had just rebuilt my last top end with wsm platinum series and i was really impressed with the quality. cant say much for durability since i only had maybe 10 hours on them when i swapped. the rings wsm uses are extremely tough looking. they look to be a lot thicker than wiseco rings. my next rebuild will be with wsm pistons, not to mention they are about 50 bucks cheaper
  15. cant see that little picture. any chance of getting a bigger one
  16. x2. just have to clean and oil them alot but otherwise you should be ok. unless you plan on going thru a lot of deep puddles then you may wanna stay away from pods. most people on banshees try to avoid mud puddles any way
  17. im prolly wrong but do you think it could have anything to do with your timing being at +7?
  18. really need to know what kind of porting and what elevation to say for sure. but to me it would seem that 160 is actually a bit too much. i have stock stroke dune port and 28 pwk bored to 30 with k and n pods and im running 155 mains and they are nice and brown. id hate to steer you in the wrong direction especially if its too lean but that is my opinioin
  19. i wouldnt waste money on any billet clamps for these pipes. i have the same ones and they are too close to the frame to get any thing other than a hose and clamps around. because of how far back they sit you wont be able to see the pipe clamps at all anyway. i just bought some hose (1 inch i believe) and put 2 clamps on each side and its holding up well so far.
  20. if you want to spend the money id recommend these for a good low end snap and excellent throttle response. as you can see it comes with cages and all http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Banshee-Red-Billet-Reed-Cages-Better-THAN-V-Force_W0QQitemZ280468380579QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_ATV_Parts_Accessories?hash=item414d37dba3
  21. i should be able to make at least one day
  22. if you have access to a pressure testing set for cooling system then you can put that on while the bike is running and watch the gauge. if it is building over 16 psi when you rev it then you know it is building too much pressure which is prolly from head gasket or coolhead o ring. i think you can pick up a cooing system pressure tester for pretty cheap from any parts store. does it show any signs or burning antifreeze? what kinda temp is it running?
  23. very nice looking bike man. ya more compression will give you more power. mostly on the low end. 19 cc would be pretty close to needing to start mixing in some race gas. generally the cutoff is around 150 ish. the more you advance timing the more likely you need some race gas as well. i would guess you would be ok to run 93 with 19cc and +4 but it also depends on elevation. you will definately want to check it and see before you run it a lot.
  24. you try plug caps. im sure you already did but figured id ask. i had an oem stator give me a similar problem. just before it would come into powerband it would start cutting out and sputtering. sometimes it wouldnt stop until i got out of the gas. other times it would come out of it and run fine on top end. i like to keep at least one extra stator laying around anyway since its easiest to slap another one on when in doubt.
