cool head wouldnt be a bad ideal. but the first thing i would do is check everything else out on the bike. check every bearing and bushing, brakes, pivot joints, etc. you can spend a ton of money on upgrades then go out riding and break down because of a minor general maintnance issue. once you check all that out then maybe buy a head and some good rear tires (depending on what yours are like). as far as reeds, the replacement pedals for the v force are pretty expensive. you could prolly sell them and pick up a set of stock cages with boyesen dual stages and maybe come out ahead.
