  1. i finally got around to putting the bulbs in and trying them out. they are pretty bright actually and the light is a really nice looking clear white.
  2. it looks ok. you got any pics of the first one you were talking about? i wouldnt get too worked up over it having a title or not as a lot of them get lost. just run the vin number before you purchase to make sure not stolen. im sure you could get a title for it later if you ever need one. sounds like the first one has more done to it. hard to tell much by pic but usually someone who takes good care of their stuff would keep it clean, especially for a sale picture.
  3. looks sweet man. i love the black and red. when i saw the pics i was sure it was pc, nice work
  4. if you arent interested then stay off of the mans thread imo.
  5. i think the only extra valve i have is missing the knob and face plate
  6. drewski the uni pods would prolly fit 35's. if you can give me a measurement off your carbs i will check them. they were bought for 33 mm keihin so i bet they would fit 35;s. as for other stuff laying around i will have to double check tonight or when i get a chance. ak if you wanna swap for pods let me know. the uni pods are pretty new but one has a pipe burn in it, but no where near all the way thru.
  7. here ya go. it is recommended that your squish be around .040-.045. so if your squish is now .060" you can go .020 off your head to put you at .040
  8. you will notice some more bottom end for sure. really should do a squish test to determine how much you wanna mill. to be safe id say .020-.025". ive went .030 but thats a little tight. also depends on the thickness of your base gasket
  9. .025" should be fine. what kinda pistons
  10. i need a stock style bearing carrier. bearings can be junk as long as all the mounting holes are good and new bearings and seals can be put in it without any problems. to trade i have: uni pods to fit 30-33 mm carbs, k&n style pods to fit stock carbs, old style wiring harness, reed cages with stock reeds, reed cages with boyesen reeds. i have some other crap laying around too let me know what you got and what you need. not looking to spend any money right now since i really dont have to have a carrier so no for sale offers

  12. got a motor on mine already jd. i am really impressed at how solid this thing is. it will make putting cases back together extremely easy. great price as well man i cant imagine you are making much off these with all the supplies and labor. thanks again
  13. sad to see you get rid of the banshee man but looks like you did ok. that thing is really nice and clean.did you get it out yesterday when it was almost 60 deg
  14. unbelievable
  15. im using them also with stock intakes and 28 pwks. very nice throttle response
  16. it depends on what kind of riding you are gonna do and what kind of porting. if you want more top end the cub would be better suited but if you wanna trail ride youd be better off with 4 mil and trail port. prolly do a 4 mil and porting for around the same price as cub top end. as for hp #'s im not sure
  17. nope no need to replate stock banshee cylinders
  18. so now with this stator do you have positive voltage to the coil when you kick it. if your volt gauge does nothing when you hook it to the 2 wires on the coil try grounding the ground lead on the frame somewhere and see if you get voltage to the hot wire for coil (orange i think). if you do at this point then its prolly a pickup problem but if not then its cdi, stator, switch, wiring, etc
  19. try new plugs, swap plug wires, clean carbs.
  20. i know its probably not what you want to hear but the only true way of knowing if you need a bore is gonna be to take it to a shop and have it checked thoroughly. most likely you would be ok to just throw pistons in but for peace of mind id recommend going .010 over. if your gonna spend the 200 bucks on pistons you dont wanna find out the hard way your cylinder was out of round and bust a skirt or something.
  21. ok thanks for the info. guess ill just pick up some more 35w bulbs from lowes. the 35w ones i put in there before were pretty bright but only lasted about 5 hours before blowing...wonder if my regulator is bad
