i agree with crusty. but i would add that it depends on how you ride. if you ride extremely hard high rpm's wot then you may want to be more cautious when it comes the how thin your cylinder walls are. personally i would go .100 over but that is because i have a backup top end and i dont generally turn really high rpms. just my opinion tho
found some mr16 led lights that would fit in the wal mart fog lights. they are 12 volt. but it says they are 2 watts? i dont know much about this kinda crap so....will they work? if not then please explain so i might learn something lol
nut. but yea you just need to find out the exact thread pitch. there are at least 3 different pitches for metric and to just say fine thread may not be right. maybe one of the shops you talked to can tell you the pitch of the threads you need. then youll be good to go. put loctite on it also
ya lose teh boost bottle. dont change your oil mixture but instead watch the plugs and do some chops for jetting purposes. you should be about right as far as jetting as long as you have no air leaks. keep an eye on plugs to be safe
if your using moose be careful when you read description. i was getting ready to buy a moose set on ebay then saw it didnt include the water pump seal. heres the seal kit i used http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ENGINE-OIL-SEALS-YAMAHA-BANSHEE-YFZ350-1987-2006-K-S_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem4ce8901c34QQitemZ330319273012QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

i used stock frame mounting brackets with spacers on each side of light hole. this way has been really strong for me. i think using the bracket that it comes with would make them turn easily thus getting them out of alignment.
at .040 your squish is prolly gonna be too tight. mine is about .030" with a .030" milled head and that is too tight. that is on stock stroke stock head with wiseco pistons
sandman the shop does good work but they generally do automotive work. ive had them bore cylinders in the past with no problems but i just wanna be sure.
thanks for the info dirty. i did finally find on here that .003 is a good piston to cylinder clearance for forged pistons. anyone confirm this? there is no info that came with the pistons and i cant find a # to get ahold of wsm...
sorry to post a question that has prolly been asked a bunch but i found nothing useful with search. im going to try wsm forged platinum series pistons and my question is what exactly should i have them bored at. what ring gap and piston clearance should i tell the shop to cut them at? i wanna go a little on the snug side if possible because i plan on doing a really good break in. but not too tight obviously. thanks guys
ive never used them personally but i would never use any dg stuff. all the dg products i have seen are extremely cheap. i did have a dg pipe on 400ex and when i swapped it out for a better pipe i noticed a lot more power. but maybe someone else has first hand experience and says otherwise
time to get my sh*t together.
