  1. I'm running a FAST clutch and couldn't be happier. You should look into a billet basket as well as a new inner and outer hubs. While your at it check out a pancake bearing, shift pro kit and modded star and new clutch cable! hahaha
  2. Just get the 450 shocks. If you have +2 arms, they will work out good for ya.
  3. First make sure your head and cylinders are flat. You have to use orings with that head. If the head and cylinders are flat, new orings will fix the problem. Use a little vasaline to hold the orings in place while you put it back together and be sure not to over tighten it.
  4. Do yourself a favor and spend the money on some "Wicked" arms and put some 450 shocks on it. The 450 swap just doesn't work as good as banshee suspension. Wicked arms are $350 brand new and have a lifetime warranty. Cant beat that.
  5. Put the nut back on it and beat it out with a 3lb hammer. You will more than likely need a new bolt. You can find them on ebay for fairly cheap. Or contact a guy on here with the screen name NYUK, he may have a couple for sale.
  6. Could you post up a picture of the oil filter? Anyways, it sounds like your floats need to be reset. Another thing to consider is your jetting. If the bike was jetted for summer weather and your riding it in the sub zero tempetures, you are going to burn it up. You need to rejet the bike for colder temps. The first thing I would do is pull the carbs, (one at a time) and clean the pilot and main jets out real good and rejet accordingly. Then reset your float level. If that does not stop the gas from over flowing, you will probably need to buy a rebuild kit. Give us a list of your mods, air temp and elevation and we can help you determine what jet sizes you need.
  7. I'm going to try to smoke some this weekend. I usually just make it in the oven though.
  8. I might possibly be interested in this deal. I have a few different recipes to choose from. Hot n spicy with a hint of jalepeno and sweet n spicy teryaki. Post up a pick of the bars. What else to you have to trade for?
  9. Yep, Tim at Stellar performance builds some really nice stuff. Its not only really nice, its absolutely affordable. Here is my Stellar +4 arm. You will need to ask Tim for extra gussets like mine.
  10. You should consider deleting this thread. The guy gave you a full refund and an apology. Sometimes shit happens. Don't run this guys name down, instead commend him on being a stand up guy.
  11. I'm guessing these are the Elkas hes wanting to sell. This ebay add popped up about the same time this for sale thread did. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/YAMAHA-BANSHEE-ELKA-PIGGY-FRONT-REMOTE-REAR-SHOCKS_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem3efc3fd322QQitemZ270520013602QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
  12. Resi's, adjustable, weight and arm setup, blown/leaking, needing rebuilt, pics? Finally how much do you want ontop of stockers? That should cover it.
  13. I guess my first question is why do you need to turn your fuel off? It is a bit of a pain in the ass to check/change plugs and turn the fuel off, but I don't ever have to do either of those very often if ever at all. I switched from T5s to Rockets and will never go back. The Rockets come on alot sooner and pull extremely harder. If you can even find an old set, they would be worth a try. I have a 4mil dune port with all the bolt ons and couldn't be happier with them.
  14. Is that the one Garrett from GT performance built? I seen a 4 cylinder at his shop that wasn't quite finished yet a few years ago.
  15. Domes are used in cool heads, not stock heads. Generally people run a cool head to be able to dial in their compression with ease, by being able to change out domes. If you have a shaved head already, you probably don't need a cool head.
  16. That sucks man. It could be worse though. You could have not know that if fell in there!
  17. You will never be able to just tighten the preload if your 280! You can spend about $125 and put a heavier spring on it, or you can spend about $350 to have it resprung, revalved and rebuilt to your weight and riding style. I personally wouldn't pay that kind of money on a stock shock again. If you can find a nice used Elka for $400 or so you would be way ahead in the long run.
  18. He takes very good care of his stuff! I bought front and rear arms from him and they were like new condition. I have a friend looking for a motor, I will let him know about this one for ya.
  19. What kind of lever are you using? Also, you would be amazed on how much a new and properly lubed cable will improve your pull.
  20. Use a good case sealant. Make sure that your crank seals aren't in backwards. Follow the manual step by step and you will be good to go. When you get done with assembly, pressure check your engine.
  21. Full Flight uses spacers like that also. http://www.fullflightracing.com/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=45
  22. Well if you got them for cheap enough I would consider it a good deal. Most, if not all aftermarket arms are a good upgrade from stock. Wickeds have ball joints rather than hiems, but who knows. The guy that had them before you could have stuck them on there. Contact ASR, they will have the parts you need.
  23. Moral of the story, if something seems to good to be true, it probably is.
  24. Yep, they look just like my wickeds.
  25. Interesting, post up a picture. Welcome to the HQ!
