  1. If you ride in the trails go with 2+1.
  2. If you end up with a cub, don't skimp out on porting the cases. To answer your question on whether or not to build a 421 cub or a stock cylinder 4mil, you need to tell us what kind of riding your going to do. Either build you choose should be reliable. You need to pick a quality builder to port your motor for the 4mil and your set.
  3. Those will cost you $175 and a nice used set of Faast bars will cost you around $200. You can find them brand new on ebay for $319 shipped and I've seen them for $299 shipped. I'm not against buying a knock off set, I just wouldn't want to be the test dummy!
  4. Sounds like you built yourself a very high quality bike! Post up some bigger pictures of it.
  5. Yep, just call Jeff at FAST, he can hook you up with an Eibach spring.
  6. The cheapest way to fix this issue is to buy a heavier spring for the rear shock. If all your doing is drag racing on dirt, that may fix the problem. If your racing across rough sand, you may need to have the rear shock revalved for your weight as well. A spring will cost you around $125.
  7. They want $44 for shipping and they are located in China. I think you are going to end up spending close to what a real set of Fast bars cost.
  8. I do like the look of the silver lakers, I just don't like the way they are cut on the front. I want to be able to cut my fronts a certain way. I guess its oem or Maier. Thanks for the help.
  9. Do you have the breather hose connected to the cap? Are the threads on the cap or tank messed up?
  10. Keep us updated on the build with pictures and mods! Welcome to the HQ!
  11. Did you sell your Rockets yet? Are they the old style or new style? If they are the old style and are still for sale send me a pm, I'll take em.
  12. Holyman is the guy who had all the good thread about do it yourself fixes. Something is wrong with the website or something because his old thread is showing board error when you try to click on it. I think you can buy one off of ebay for $30 bucks, thats probably the way to go.
  13. You may need to replace the bowl gaskets and float needle and seats. Its hard to say without seeing them. They may just need to be cleaned out real good and adjusted properly. The manual is a Clymers manual. Here is an ebay link to show you what they look like. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-YFZ350-Banshee-87-06-Clymer-Repair-Manual_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem19b9baf76cQQitemZ110490220396QQptZMotorsQ5fManualsQ5fLiterature
  14. Did you make sure the eccentric bolt was adjusted properly?
  15. Welcome to the HQ Paul Nixon! If your gas is just running out the back of the carb bowls, you need to fix your floats. If you don't have a manual get one! The manual will walk you through everything you need to know about your banshee step by step with pictures.
  16. Do you have the center bolt that runs through the clutch pack adjusted correctly?
  17. If your going to pull it apart, you should mod your shift shaft as well.
  18. I think sand blasting would be your only option. Just make sure that you do a dam good job!
  19. You need to either cover your filters with plastic bags or take them off cap off the carbs with a pvc caps.
  20. Put them on, what are you waiting for!!
  21. I need some new plastic and I want to switch to silver but I can't seem to find any. My next question is if I can find some, which is better, UFO or Maier? I found some lakers, but I'm not real keen on the way the fronts are cut. I don't like the look of fullbores so thats not an option. So, where do I find a set of complete new and uncut silver fenders? Thanks for the help!

  23. Hahah! Are they new style pipes or old style pipes? If you email some pictures I will post them for ya. [email protected]
  24. If money isn't an option roll with a set of Elka piggy backs with compression and rebound adjustability. If you are tight on a budget, try a set of 450 shocks. They are cheap, have all the adjustment options and work pretty good on a set of +2 arms.
  25. Try a set of Wickeds. They have more points of adjustment and are made from Chromoly.
