  1. I think you can buy Rockets again. Search the forums and look for a screen name, rocketpipes. Good luck finding a good used set!
  2. Don't use a spacer plate, spend the money and buy a cool head. You need to have domes cut to allow the extra stroke. As far as picking a builder goes, you will just have to call a few and talk to them about what you want to end up with. FAST racing ported my 4mil and it flat out rips, couldn't be happier. Herr Juggs racing built me a dune motor and it ran with the best of them. Just call them and talk it out with them. They are both site sponsors and are great guys to deal with.
  3. Just a heads up, your swinger looks exactly like my Jansen. If thats what it is, then you have one hell of a nice/expensive swinger for sale!
  4. A couple of quick things to check come to mind. Check to see if your slides are in correctly. Look into the filter side of the carb and you should see a half moon shape on the bottom of the slides. Also check to make sure the bowls are on the correct carbs. The bowl with the brass pin in the bottow of the bowl should be on the carb with the choke. Next check to see if the choke tube is hooked up between the carbs. There is a little black vacuum tube that connects the two carbs together.
  5. My -1 = 17 3/4" from center of pivot tube to center of carrier housing.
  6. Congrats on the new ride! Pull the carbs and give them a good cleaning. Pull your pilot jets and see what you have. If you have 25s, try a set of 27.5s. Also set your pilot screw 2 turns out. Try that and report back!
  7. Measure yours eye to eye and I will do the same. I have a -1 round house and several stockers I can measure for you. Just tell me how you want to measure them and I will go check for you.
  8. I like 15 41 for every type of riding.
  9. Did you clean your pilot jets out?
  10. Like stated above, use some lithium grease/vasoline etc, on the orings when you install them. Be sure not to over tighten them or you will pinch an oring and it will leak again. Be sure to retighten them after you ride it once also.
  11. I don't think you would be anywhere close to 60 rwhp with just pipes and a filter.
  12. You must have been spending some serious amounts of cash to get Jeff to cancel Dinner plans!
  13. I'm going to try adjusting my clutch a little different and try some new basket cushions. If that don't do the trick then I really don't have a choice. It does me no good to have a hard running motor I can't shift!

    Haha

Two Middle East mothers are sitting in a cafe chatting over a plate of tabouli and a pint of goat's milk. The older of the two pulls a bag out of her purse and starts flipping through photos. They start reminiscing. This is my oldest son, Mujibar.. He would have been 24 years old now. Yes, I remember him as a baby,' says the other mother cheerfully. He's a martyr now though,' the mother confides. Oh, so sad dear,' says the other. And this is my second son, Khalid. He would have been 21. Oh, I remember him,' says the other happily, 'he had such curly hair when he was born. He's a martyr too,' says the mother quietly. 'Oh, gracious me . . . , ' says the other. And this is my third son. My baby. My beautiful Ahmed. He would have been 18, she whispers. Yes,' says the friend enthusiastically, 'I remember when he first started school.' He's a martyr also,' says the mother, with tears in her eyes. After a pause and a deep sigh, the second Muslim mother looks wistfully at the photographs and, searching for the right words, says . . . They blow up so fast, don't they?'
  15. Well this thread just got hilarious! 2/2 many, where you at!
  16. 0000 steel wool and WD. When you get all of the rust off, go back and polish with some sort of metal polish. I usually have good luck with Mothers. If you want to spend a little more money on polish, Semi Chrome is the shit.
  17. Thats a bummer. I have had my fair share of A-holes ripping me off on parts and it sucks! What do you need to get your buddy up and running? I have a bunch of spare parts that I could donate to the build.
  18. I have one that is powderd blue. The bearings have one season on them, they probably need replaced. I need a straight steering stem, gas tank with good mounting holes or a seat with good foam. I can throw cash on top if you have a seat in excellent shape.
  19. I have had both. The 450 shocks are cheap, adjustable, have aftermarket support and are hands down better than dual rate works. Just my opinion, so works lovers don't hate on me!
  20. I don't see what big fuss is with changing plugs or shutting off the gas. I won't argue that the Rockets make it difficult to perform either tasks, however properly setup, you shouldn't have to do either one often, if at all. Rockets ftw!
  21. FAST racing carries them. He also has aftermarket idle screws that you can adjust with your fingers. Onestopshop: http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=119
  22. I think I'm going to go with a dual rate conversion. You can adjust the ride height up to 1" lower, which would make them a perfect fit. Who are you buying the conversion from?
  23. Does anyone have any data showing that you actually benifit from porting stock cages? This subject has come up several times.
