  1. My left leg touched my left pipe for like 3 seconds before the burning feeling hit my brain. Made a nice burn. The same thing happen to my bud on my 250. Both run fine. It's exaust, IMO it's gonna be hot.
  2. All this talk of cranks going bad is getting me worried. I went from 21 cc to 20cc domes but i cant comment on the different. I did a lot of other mods at the time i put the 20cc domes in.
  3. what's the point of ressies? to fill the shock back up when it's low?
  4. I nice port job will make you gobbs of power with stock juggs and the right supporting mods. Not sure how it will do with being on a track. I would think traction would be the hardest problem to overcome. But i just use mine as a playbike
  5. I guess we talking about asphalt? If so i went 9.3@72mph(video is on the forums). I think i could of went lower if i took off better but i was pleased. Yesterday after 2 months of waiting, i went again. I spun through 2nd and 3rd gear and managed only a 9.7@74mph. Same 19" holeshots i was on before and a 15t front instead of a 14. Ah well, it was just for fun. I'd love to see what my new port job and mods can do but I am not setting my shee up for asphalt only.
  6. Dirtwheels sucks. Every sport bike that comes out has "a quick reving engine" and the basic generic story. I learn more from forums than any magazine. Plus i dont see banshee's in the atv mags much. That's all i care about.
  7. That's a bunch of crap. Our's lets us run regular tires. 87, let me know what times you run once you go. I havent gotten a change to go to the track yet since my port job etc.
  8. He probably didnt want to lose his job. That's why he didnt go race.
  9. After i went ported, i sold my t6 pipes and got some used t5's. Best damn thing i ever bought for it! I wanted an all around pipe so i went t5. I went used cuz it's cheaper. Sure it has a tiny bit rust but it's USED and CHEAP.
  10. I have yfz450 shocks/aarms. I like them better over stock. The only reason i didnt go with something made for the banshee is the cost. What i have now cost less than half the price of something made for a banshee. And for a playbike, it's more than i need.
  11. All i care for is this place and everything2stroke.com Every other forum i visit doesnt have many people or what i care to read. It's not like i own something "popular" like a raptor(raptor forums or whatever) or a 4 stroke(thumper talk). I went to wallmart today to pick up a new mag. I looked at dirtwheels cuz they tested the new can am 450. They say the usual crap like good fast reving engine, good suspension etc. Basicly the same crap they say for everything that comes out. All bs. I get way more info from these and e2s forums than any mag could every dream of doing. I didnt buy a magazine
  12. id get the raptor to ride some trails. my damn shee has no traction what so ever and i wouldnt want to spend gods knows how much money on suspension, shocks, and low end power. You have that all with the 700.
  13. climbanyhill and a few others painted their t'5s with high temp black paint with good results. Not sure why some people's flake off.
  14. Sounds good man. Those little nic nac things take a while but in the end, it's well worth it!
  15. changing ya tires with ya bike on huh haha. MDS2106, sounds a little like drag pipes. Has the loud crisp noise to it. And put a helmet on that youngen!
  16. I was told since my engine is ported, it wont sound like a ported bashee(throaty) if i take the packing out. Right now it sounds throaty since the port job opened up the exaust ports. Either way, i dont want it any louder
  17. that damn choke tube. That thing gave me so many problems for 3 weeks. I never put it back on cuz i didnt know it excisted. It was amazing how after i put it back on every tuning and starting problem went away. Well, atleast i learned from my mistakes....many, many mistakes!
  18. Even if no packing gave me a tad more power, i hate loud bikes. It is why i dont have drag pipes
  19. I put a wiseco top end in my shee a month ago. It didnt come with those things. I dont have the knowledge so call them and see what it's for. Climbanyhill, put some pro lites in there after you send ya juggs to get ported :woot:
  20. Mine are too loud w/o a helmet on my head but i never really ride w/o a helmet. Speaking of packing, i needa check mine this weekend.
  21. a lockout stops the clutch from slipping due to too much power. The reason i start is 2nd is cuz it's a longer gear and i have the power to do it. It also prevents going to netural and one less gear to shift up. Any bit helps. Practice practice practice.
  22. +2 Just cuz the sale ended, doesnt mean the support did. It better not have i hope.....
  23. If you dont have the TORS(or unplugged it), make sure your tubing b/w the chokes are still there. Might be a long shot but i fought with my bike for 2 weeks just to realize that was half the problem. If it's getting fuel and fire, get someone to pull start you. Dump the clutch in 2nd gear once you get moving a good 15-20 mph.
  24. Well either 1st or 2nd u going to have to feather it and give it a lot of gas so it doesnt bogg. It's just practice man. I need to practice that as well. Too bad my track only has test n tune days on wednesdays(i work all week full time). Get some video man.....
  25. A couple months ago i brought my shee to the track as is. Just basic bolt ons. I almost stood the sucker up the first time i started. I was used to my rear breaking loose but the drag strip is very sticky. I find the hardest part is taking off w/o lifting the front up meanwhile doing it fast. http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=...videoid=8865855 It was tons of fun and i want to go back next Saturday to see what my bike will do now that's it ported and what not. I start off in 2nd but whatever works for you. I really blow ass at starting off.
