  1. Yep, that's it. You follow me. Maybe you could post a pic of it for us?
  2. I'm assuming that because no one knows what little bent expander like ring I'm talking about, I take that as a no, it doesn't need to be installed. My stock pistons didn't have it installed on them. I have no means of getting you folks a pic at the moment. Sorry.
  3. No. I'm not talking about the circlips that retain the wrist pin in the piston, I'm talking about this funny stop sign like shaped bent expander ring of some sort that comes with the RIK ring set. There is only one per ring kit. Does this need to be installed in one of the ring grooves in the piston prior to installing the rings? Thanks, N8
  4. Hi all. Just had my cylinders cleaned up with a .020 over bore and hone, as well as some minor porting and polishing. Machinist dialed me in with a new set of pro-x cast pistons and rings. These new pro-x pistons appear identical to the old stock pistons. However, the old pistons didn't have this little bent(stop sign like) expander ring that came with these new pistons and the RIK ring set. Do I need to, or should I install this little bent expander ring on the new pro-x pistons? Thanks for any advice, N8
  5. Thanks for the info gentlemen. I was told 18cc domes was as small as I could go for pump gas. My compression sits at 145. Both cylinders. I've noticed a mismatch on the trinity CV intake and the vforce1 reeds. Due to the design of these reeds, I don't think I can port them or the housing may break apart. What do you folks suggest I do with this issue? I've looked into something I've heard mentioned here, and that is reed stuffers. But I don't see anything workable for the 1st generation vforce reeds. Only the 3rd generation.
  6. Hi everyone. I just recently purchased a mostly stock 2004 banshee. Its only mods were Vforce1 reeds, and toomey t5 pipes and silencers. I'm attempting to build this banshee as a dune trail basher. I have purchased additional mods for this machine to help reach that goal. I have added a Pro Design coolhead with 18cc domes, and the Trinity CV carb system with the 35mil Kehin PWK. With all the jetting experience floating around in this forum under similar setups, I'd like to ask help for a good starting point concerning my jetting. I'm near Salt Lake City, Utah. Roughly 4000 to 4500 ft above sea level. Average temp is around 90F. With motor mods listed above. Thanks for any help, N8
