  1. yep, or you can be cool and buy the throttle cable that eliminates the tors caps on the carbs, which shaves weight, gets rid of clutter, and makes it a million times easier to rejet
  2. I've been racin on the ice for a log time in alaska where the season is 7-8 months long and have tried many tires with many screw patterns. what tires are u running??? if u r running cheng shin's put one stud on every knob, front and rear and double up on the outside and inside line of the fronts. If u r running any other kind of tire the best thing ive found is put a stud everywere you can on the rears up to one every square inch and straight lines on the front. that will get u good traction, "slide out of the rear end" is wrong, what you want to acheive is a controlled powerslide just exagerated. hope that helps ya
  3. I am the guy in Alaska who bought both the motor (which by the way is the shiznit) and almost all of the other project parts from flyguy, and let me just say the parts were bent in such away and in such a spot that they were not noticable with the average persons eye doing a good inspection. I did a fairly good once over of the parts when i got them and they looked good, and i have many banshees and many different parts so i am pretty confident in what to look for. Only when i tried to install them did i notice anything wrong. I dont know anything about the parts before flyguy had them (they could have been damaged shipping them twice) but i dont hold him resposible at all, sh$%* happens, i know he was not tryin to rip anyone off, IN FACT I THINK 98FLYGUY IS THE BEST PERSON I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH ONLINE, EITHER HERE OR ON EBAY. And also I know its USED PARTS and that means you have to expect certain things, and while i was oooing and aawwing over parts that iwant, i want, i want, i still know no matter what they are still used parts. I have not been ripped off for near as much as 98flyguy and im sure he is pissed, we have all felt what he feels. Just wanted to throw my two cents in.
  4. ROFL..... true, so true, if you hang out here long enough you will get the bug and spend all your money. I have a full blown addiction...........addiction to SPEED PARTS, sometimes i think it would be cheaper to be addicted to crack. your wallet is the limit, have fun spending it
  5. HAHAHAHHAH banshee motors are so corked up stock, and the biggest areas by far are the (oh so crappy) stock pipes and stock intake. your about to actually unleash the corked up power of the banshee, its gonna be night and day, just dont forget to get the jetting right. HAVE FUN
  6. you didnt say weather or not u still have an airbox. by far the best bang for your buck mod for power goes get rid of that damn airbox and replace with filters that clamp directly onto the carbs, (im K&N or bust but whatever brand floats your boat). You will get a noticable gain escpecially with those pipes, and it will make it WAY EASEIER to rejet. DONT FORGET TO REJET AFTERWARDS
  7. THANKS ZOsick, i was doin a little research on oil and oil life and your "rambling on" answered all of my questions completely. Thanks again for your post. Also just curios, what kind of oil do you use, (in both 2 and 4 strokes) since you are so knowledgeable about oil???
  8. AHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAH ROFL NOW THAT IS TRUE........ SO TRUE
  9. sorry i dont know anyone doin any sponsering. I am an Avid ICE RACER and am curious as to the regilations on your area ice racing, track size, track width, motor size and class's, and what kind of points sytem used. thx goku
  10. hello all,i want to see if anyone has a flame banshee seat or seat cover for sale. It has to be a red and black theme either way, post back if you have any seats that match, thx all
  11. JETTING, JETTING, JETTING, keep your jetting perfect ( too lean and it goes BOOM) also keep an eye on all bolts and fasteners to come loose, banshees like to rattle all the bolts loose, its a good idea to check em all real quick every 2-3 hours of ride time
  12. Redline or yamaha oil mixed 40:1 is what i run in all my modded shees, just what i like
  13. I'm not sure if you are getting my msgs, i will buy the motor NOW. msg me back and well work out the details
