  1. well the bike refuses to start before all of this. I prob screwed something up so it isnt giving it a spark to the spark plugs. One little wire is loose and it wont start. Tomarrow i will make sure all of those things are removed and make sure all the electrical connections left over after removing all TORS things are still connected well. thanx.
  2. I installed a TORS removal kit today. Damn shee still doesnt start. I forgot to cut the parking brake wire and the one going into the thumb throttle. I went back like 15 min ago in the dark and cut those. Kicked her over and nothing. Do i have to reconnect those wires or just leave them a lone and tape them off? Tomarrow when i get home from work, i need to make sure im getting a spark. My problem has to be electrical. This bike is giving me a headache!
  3. Yeah i used a big ass grinder. I shaved more than enough. I didnt go overboard with it. That way i didnt take away it's strength. There's a lot of metal there "extra" so i know it's all good. The front suspension is done though. Finished it a few days ago.
  4. There's tons of places to order clutch parts from. There's no way you have to wait that long. Most places will get the stuff to you in 3-5 days if you order it before they ship out for the day(usualy like 2pm). From the mods in ya sig, it doesnt look like you need something expensive/fancy. Heck, im ported and i put in just 3 HD springs and im using w/e i was before.
  5. My opinion is impossible if they can drive well. A stock yfz450 w/o the baffle killed my shee with basic bolt ons. YFZ's are a beast. Mod for mod, 450's will beat a banshee. But if you go beyond just the basic bolt ons, the banshee takes the lead and it's cheaper to do. Get a shee, port it and mod it according to the port job to really bring out that port job and you will be fine. That's my 2 cents. Oh yeah, learn to drive it. It took me a while.
  6. Mine his 71in the asphalt 1/8th and 71.2 using gps. oh wait, mine wasnt stock. Has the basic bolt ons with stock gearing turning 18" tires. Either way, fast enough for a quad with a few bolt ones. But now im ported hehe. Cant wait to try her out.
  7. thanx guys. I just wanted to be sure
  8. So i finaly get both my a-arms almost completely on today and the right side(when on the bike) is giving me trouble. I didnt have enough clearance from the top of the shock and the mounting point. I had to use a dremel and foul it down. Is that normal. I took a picture so those of yall that have the yfz conversion can shed some light on this. Problem area is circled in green: http://www.2sly4.us/rc/codys_stuff/MyBansh...suspension1.JPG Keep in mind that everything isnt tight yet but that shouldnt affect what problem area. It sems if i grind a little more off, it will never rub.
  9. naa the stuff isnt from you. I didnt notice this was the for sale section. I am very sorry. I will ask the guy who i bought them from.
  10. i installed mine today and the bottom a-arm has some play in it. Is that normal?
  11. It's a pleasure doing business with you! Make sure to send me some pictures when shee's done. Glad to see my pipes going to a good home....aka a yamaha sert. mechanic!
  12. yay for the search option. now i can go finish installing. On a side note, how hard would it be for the company to put freakin instuctions on there. I understand it's take out and put back in the plate but ida never know use were the two halves meet. thanx daj
  13. Aw....they like to leak. That sucks to find out. Anyways, i figured out where the o-rings go in no time yesterday. The 10 tiny o-rings go between the two head parts(there's grooves for it). Dont be afraid to use some grease because the orings are a bitch to make them stay, same with the doomes. I rebuilt it with the engine IN the bike so that means the orings where facing DOWN when i put it on. Some fell off like 5 times before my dad mentioned use grease. You might need someone else to help you. I found it much easyer to put the head on with an extra set of hands. That's about all the help i can give you. I'm pretty new to this stuff.
  14. man, the stuff you find while just surfin the forums. I order one of these thursday, should be here Monday. Helpful thread for sure!
  15. How do you do a leak test on the base gaskets? I just put my juggs back on today for the first time ever. I'm kinda curious.
  16. ClimbAnyHill, i might be getting rid of my 21cc domes. I was over 130psi with them. I might not need them if my 20cc domes work with my new mods(flotek port job, 20cc domes, 93 pump gas etc). I can let you know if you want them.
  17. the amount of oil is listed where u put the oil in
  18. Oh, i only buy good tools. It's either Craftsman or Snap On. Ill be going get a 3/8" tourqe wrench at the craftsman store. So with a nice tourqe wrench....is a crows foot wrench set still needed?
  19. What's the crows foot used for. For the nuts on the juggs...a tourqe wrench has to be used. I'm going buy a tourch wrench this weekend and if i need a crows foot set, ill get one.
  20. I'll be putting my juggs/head back on this weekend for the first time. I'll be using my clymer. i need to go buy a tourqe wrench and crow's foot first though.
  21. i bought some stuff form ZillaRider02. The stuff looks way better in person than it did in the pictures. I've very satisfyed!!!! oh yeah, it was here in 3 days....fast shipping!
  22. i forgot to mention, post the add with pics on craigslist. It's a nice free site. Be prepared to get some low ball offers though.
  23. i like my ford ranger
  24. I think for 5k it will sell man. Just be firm with your price and be positive. It took me about a month to sell my dirtbike. I thought it wasnt going to sell, then one day some guys showed up with a roll of 100's and a truck and trailer. There went Darlene. Ima quit typing....i miss her...
  25. hmm, you might be under a 9.6. I ran a 9.3 my second run and i cant launch too well. It's all about the launch IMO. Just slip the clutch to shift and slam a gear up, rinse and repeat. If you got the power, start off in 2nd.
