  1. Tightening the chain is just a matter of loosening a few bolts moving the swingarm and tightening them back up. Very simply. As for the boost bottle, dont swet it. I been having one and it never hurt my bike one bit.
  2. i dont like the idea of NOS on a quad but a win is a win. Props to him! Shoulda kept racing him. His bottle would of ran out sooner or later.
  3. type like you have some education man. It's very hard to understand you. I had to read it over a few times to understand. My money is on the raptor in the 1/8th if he can ride good.
  4. My only recommendation for the far future is a port job with supporting mods and lightening the flywheel. Then your engine work is pretty much done unless u wont to go a drag only bike. Then i would widen the bike both front and rear with cheap aftermarket shocks. Then call it a day. For now....jet it correctly and just enjoy riding the bike. Dont worry about being faster than the other guy.....
  5. Engine ice is ready to use. DO NOT mix with water. Says that on the container:)
  6. If engine ice wasnt so expensive, then i would use it. However, i will keep using 50/50. It's cheap. Engine ice is like other things for our bikes, marked up in price just because they can. I also buy type f tranny fluid too. I try to cut cost every way i can. I have some engine ice left so i will probably use it in my shee once i get the problems out of it fixed. I hate tearing it down over and over again and losing expensive engine ice.
  7. My shee did 72mph in 1/8th asphalt at the track with 19's on stop gearing and bolt ons. My gps marked the same thing. With my current 15/41 i went 78.9mph on my field road that's not smooth. I'm sure i can break 80. I really dont care for top speed. I care about how fast i get there or alteast how fast i can get topped out in 5th. I'm ported with supporting mods though. I couldnt pull 15/41 well w/o the all the extra power.
  8. this is kinda off topic but it seems the right place to ask. I forgot where i asked this a few days ago so forgive me. I thought you cant go WOT on a 2 stroke safely for too long. I dont hold mine WOT in any gear longer than 1-2 seconds no matter what. I know with my old hobby(nitro r/c cars) u can snap a connecting rod. I'm gonna bookmark this so i am sure to remember to check for the replys.
  9. yup. works great for me. You can even buy it already mixed 50/50. now i guess there's some negative things about using it......
  10. dude go to walmart and u can get the regular stuff for under $10. works great.
  11. Sounds like you had one hell of a time racing that thing. It's amazing how much a port job wakes up a bike. I can keep up with some 250 dirtbikes. Gotta love the shock and awe aspect of a ported shee :woot: I cant imagine how it feels to ride a ported cub though. yikes
  12. Mine is a cheap one from auto zone. Looks like the one posted. It came with two attatchments, one for normal plugs and one for weedeaters i believe. Mine does 130-135psi on both. I have 20cc domes and im ported. I've always read you take a benchmark setting when you redo a top end and you use that number as a benchmark test number.
  13. I guess that's the thing b/w the metal springs that u can adjust with a flat screw driver. I will check my clymer. thanx.
  14. Alrighty, last week i put in the shift pro shift kit. Works like a charm. I also installed the cascade innovations shift star. the install went smooth. Now the bike tends to be hard to shift from 1-2 2-3 3-4, mostly 2-3 i believe. Mostly when im slipping the clutch and holding it WOT and shifting up. If i let off, clutch then shift properly, it's fine. I took the clutch basket off so i can see the problem in person. I reached over and worked the shift with my hand while watching the shift star work. The bearing on the shift pro kit is getting stuck on the shift star's point. Anybody have this problem and if so how to fix it. I took the kit out, the shift shaft out and the star out. Everything seems to be fine. I made damn sure i screwed the star in good and tight. I will test it out tomarrow. I think if i didnt fix the problem today, i will take the shift star out and grind down the points a little bit. Maybe even a little angel on one side.
  15. Are you talking about putting lock-tite on the axen nut threads or the screw that goes into the big nut? I put some on the screw that goes into the nut.
  16. I'd be down for some t shirts. It doesnt get too cold here for anything else. I would like to see a modded shee on the front or back of the t-shirt. No bone stock banshee please. Alteast one with the front fenders cut
  17. not to hijack the thread but i thought u cant hold 2 strokes WOT that long. I dont hold mine topped out for longer than 1-2 seconds. I'm always afraid ill break a rod or something else for too much stress.
  18. if on stock carbs with TORs removed, it could be getting stuck on the idle screw.
  19. Lube the cable, place where the lever bends etc. Also make sure the cable isnt getting binded up. Perhaps clean you slides too in the carbs.
  20. oh god.... here we go again. Ill end it.... We all agree.
  21. dgrey dont give up man. I just went through that over here with my bike. In the end, i had a pinched oring on my noss head. Just check things one by one like the guys said and you WILL find the problem.
  22. Good god i didnt know 4 strokes needed an oil/fitler change so often. Ah well, it's part of the fun. Cheaper/easyer to do an oil change than a new top end.
  23. ditto! If only i had enough room for another quad. I think i would rather get a cheap 400ex to beat on. A hell of a lot slower than a yfz450 but CHEAP! haha
  24. I know that's not directed at me but i went to check it out. I love reading about bikes, no matter what kind. Looks like ima have to register to view the forums. damn! ::
  25. Asked him to work with me on the price, he was awesome about it. I asked some questions about the product, he answered super faster. He gave me numberous updates etc about the shipping, questions, progress etc. The product was shipped very quick. So quick i forgot to check for package till the next day after it arrived haha. i'd buy from this dude again without a doubt!
