  1. The plug caps have resistors in them. I would take them off and OHM them and make sure they are good. Not sure of the spec I lost my book. I would also check the connectors on the top of the engine. make sure none are loose... Good luck.
  2. I run 4*-5* But the lowest fuel I use is 94.
  3. I thought about the rotax jugs but after looking more into it I noticed the obvious...... the carb inlet is in the crankcase not the jugs...
  4. How is the bearing? Do you have a pic?
  5. unplug the TORS box. I have seen it before where you have a faint spark but would not start. Unplugged the TORS box and started right up.
  6. I would jump up on the pilot jet. You could probably turn your air screws in 1/2 to 1 turn that will help with start up.
  7. sounds like you toasted your CDI. They are very sensitive to voltage spikes.
  8. I would just clean it up and put it back on. make sure there is no pieces that will fall off. It looks like an oil splash shield.
  9. Yep I was horsing around on my street one day with it on and for shits and giggles I pulled it off and was amazed how much more power it had. the next day I was at the store buying the K&N's.
  10. I had the old set up (if it is any different) I gained tons of power when I switched to the k&n pods. this is what I had
  11. You haven't had any problems sucking air. I was told to never use regular silicone because it can gap and not hold the bearings causing premature bearing failure.
  12. Nothing really compares. You could probably get away with gasgacinch or some other non hardening sealer.
  13. http://www.umracing.com/productsDetail.php...b0199c5f14aa2ad UM is one of the best that I know. I have seen awesome parts from them.
  14. Not that I am aware of unless you didnt line up the gears before tightening...
  15. are you getting gas to the cylinders?
  16. I'm not sure if they are out of business or not but here is their website http://graydonmanufacturing.com/
  17. there is no real way to say what an 11:1 engine could have for pressure. like said above pressure is effected by everything. If your bike has 200psi in each cylinder than your leg should be sore after kicking that monster over a few times. Also if it does have 200psi in each you need to let me know who your builder is. That has to have some good power...
  18. You might want to pull your carbs off and clean them. Most likely your pilot jets are gummed up. You could also try turning your air screws in a quarter turn at a time this might help. Good luck.
  19. 97'was the the year of the new plug. so if you were to get new style electronics you would have to get a new wire harness.

  21. My twist sucks in the woods. Especially if you hit a rut and it yanks the bars out of your hand and you gas it at the same time. it wears on your wrist more than you think. I love the twist for flat racing and hill shootouts. As soon as i get the rest of my carb stuff I will be going back to thumb.
