  1. well i did some looking into why it doesnt run right and found the problem....its only running on 1 cylinder...the right side has no compression....so i assume the rings are shot somehow...they are only less then a year old...so ill take 2000 on it.... someone come take it away

  4. selling my 05 shee....it is black special edition with the flamed graphics....it is pretty much all original except i did a .020 wiseco top end kit beginning of this year and a set of VForce 3 reeds and Rental bars...i got it from my friend who is the original owner....located in 08859 NJ....it has been sitting for a few months and runs shitty but does run.....i think the carbs could use a cleaning but im not sure as i dont know much about these quads....known problems are that the upper right a arm is bent, and front right plastic fender is cracked....i did the zip tie trick and it is holding up and in position.....not too bad....i rolled it on the side and it bent the arm n cracked plastic....will not ship so local pickup only....no current pics but i have a camera phone pic of it... anyone local and serious can come and check it out...i have tried to truely and accurately describe this....2500 or best offer edit....couldnt figure how to post pics...i can email it though and maybe someone can post for me

  7. it was grounded right by the back where the grab bar mounts and thats right where i welded....the guy with the loaner electronics never came thru so im stuck again
  8. i checked all the wires and theres nothing wrong with the harness itself
  9. well i found a guy that is gonna let me swap his coil and cdi.......just waiting on him to come thru....ill let you all know what it turns up being.....in the mean time im open for more ideas on testing
  10. it still only runs on 1 cylinder....when i check for spark it doesnt show any....but if i keep kicking it 20-30times really quick it will fire up but only 1 side....ive done compression check and it has 100psi...ive tested the coil as it shows in the FAQ and the primary resistance is good but when i go to the secondary it doesnt read..ive takent the capa off and no change...the resistance on the caps themselves are different then each other....the FAQ says that it means its shot, but i went to the yamaha dealer and the head tech said it was good when he tested it.....suprisingly they didnt try to sell me one since it was in stock....i need to get this running on the cheap....i think the coil is shot but dont wanna waste 75 on it and it not be the case.....id imagine the head tech thats been at the shop knows what he's doing or should i not??? anyone local to central NJ that would be willing to swap parts with me to figure it out??
  11. can they test the cdi?? everyone says they cant be tested...idont wanna waste money buying wrong parts
  12. well i went out with the diagrams from the above link, and it started up first kick like it always does....they would rule out the cdi box correct???? but it was only running on 1 cylinder....i did drop that plug though when i pulled them....ive got new plugs to go in but havent gotten back there since.....whats my chances that its gonna run good with just new plugs....i thought about it and i welded the other side exhaust bracket without unhooking any electronics and its been fine since
  13. it was grounded at the back and welded at the back....the voltage regulator and the ground were unmounted from the frame...
