  1. I use R50 which is a techniplate and have had good luck with it. I bought that because it is in stock alot of times when the Super is perpetually on back order. I know alot of people on here run it, though.
  2. Don't forget to raise that clip! Sounds as if one of your problems is a rich clip position.
  3. IDK I have 20cc and 160psi@900ft which is pretty much right on with the chart on the Noss website
  4. Pipes=no (unless they are plugged) Porting can, depends what type. If the intake and exhaust ports are raised, there is less stroke that is compressing. Probably not a properly worded theory, but you know what I mean
  5. Marquette, U.P., here. Just got back from a ride, what a great time of year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. A location may help you out, Brian!
  7. Yep. Lower elevation=higher compression
  8. Bore, hone, pistons, may as well have it ported to suit your needs... weld the crank so you can raise the compression. VF3's and a timing plate. That will make quick work of a grand!!!!!!! (You may have to work a little O.T.)
  9. What does Passion recommend? Ask him what size domes you have while your at it !
  10. Well the tester read 90 in both cyls., but it started on the first kick all the time!!!! Was having some issues with it falling off the pipe all the time.... probably was just jetting or some bad gas. Sent it to Jeff@FAST, runs lots better now Sorry to stomp your post, WEICHA17 !!!!!!!!!!!111
  11. You kicking 'til the gauge no longer climbs? May be worth cross referencing with another tester. Mine read that last year and I had it bored and a new piston only to find out my buddies Matco Tester was faulty
  12. Id stick with the ones you have unless you get your crank welded  I have 20cc domes and am still able to run pump gas while bumping the compression up to about 160psi@900ft.
  13. What type of riding do you do? I trail ride and have alot of that stuff (sig), I like the stock swinger. It's fun, pull the front end up when you want, sideways when you want!! Other applications may warrant an extended swinger.
  14. I would put those 360's back in for the first chop. That's what he put in mine and it was just a hair lean, or nervously spot on!! I put in 370's and didn't notice a difference except for a better ring on the plugchop. That was at 800' and about 80F out. Colder now, need bigger mains!!!!!!!!
  15. Those ^^^^^^^ are the bomb! What they are is stock 250r tires, at least in 1988. They hook up great in hard dirt, gravel, even loamy stuff. Jeff@FAST sells these for around the same price. Really awesome tire and light as a mofo!!!!
  16. Especially if you are going to do other mods, you will benefit greatly from doing a proper plug chop. It is the best way to tell if you are jetted correctly and all it costs is 5 bucks for a set of plugs to wreck. I went from stock 200's to 330's with my fmf's and a K&N without the lid. I stuck 300's in off the bat and it screamed but if I hadn't done a plug chop my motor would have siezed in no time. It also ran better getting the correct amount of fuel, go figure!
  17. Damn, and I just THREW MINE AWAY!!!!! :woot:
  18. Why you running AV fuel?
  19. Stock air filter with lid? If so, start around 270 like sheerider said and visit FASTOYS on here, he has a link to a plugchop in his signature that will help you out immensely!!!!!!
  20. When you say clip in the fourth position, do you mean lean or rich? I'd start by talking to Jeff, he will probably recommend a good starting point for you and a plug chop!
  21. Short of ice picks, nothing is going to hook up on layers of leaves. I have Razr II's, they hook up great while still being low profile
  22. U.P. here, eh? Guess that's still Michigan, kinda!
  23. That is sweet, 100% envious! V8ed?
  24. Did you talk to these people yet? I haven't heard of them (your link doesn't work) but they should go over all this with you before they start carving on them. Probably some variation of a dune port is what you'll get. How did you decide on this company?
  25. those bungs are big enough to drill and tap to the next size. Use loctite next time!
