  1. Reads " Item flagged for removal", looks like you guys blew the whistle!
  2. What's up with that extra platform off the right-side nerf bar?
  3. I'm actually winded after reading that!
  4. Search "plug chop." If you must do it by sound, stop going bigger when you hit the throttle and it sounds like a toilet flushing.
  5. You may want to do a search on how to do a "plug chop" on here. That is the best way to check your main jet sizing. In the future you may want to invest in some different size domes for that coolhead, 22cc is stock compression. I run 20cc with +4 timing (160psi) on pump gas and it gives it a little extra punch. Good luck on your build!
  6. Used my buddies Matco to check my compression and it read 85psi both cyls. Sent it to FAST for a work over with 20cc domes which should have put me at 160psi. Matco tester then read 105psi! Bought a used Snap-On off ebay for $90 and it read 160psi both cyls.
  7. I've been down this road... If you don't have difficulty starting the beast then do yourself a favor and borrow/rent/buy a quality compression tester or just forget about the readings you got!
  8. So it is O.K. if they go through the tire, won't cause a flat?
  9. Nothing too serious but I haven't messed around on the ice since I had a Blaster with sheet metal screws in the tires. I see a popular brand of studs are kold kutters, and I think I will sacrifice a set of Holeshots that I have laying around to the cause. What will determine the length of stud needed? I see that they come in a variety of lengths. Ebay, about $80-90/1000 sound right? How many do I need? Also, do the old tie-down lowering trick? Thanks for any advice
  10. Might want to throw a leakdown test in your plans before you separate the cylinders, maybe a crank seal fouling your plugs. Try a different compression tester if you have access to one, I had the unfortunate experience of using a bunk one
  11. I have the black ones and agree they look great and are tough. Didn't notice any sharp edges on mine but i will consider myself warned. Got razr II's mounted all the way around and that combo is noticably heavier than stock!!!
  12. I have an armadillo and I found that a 2 gal will fit nicely into the 6-pack portion also. I have the original 1 gal that fits snugly where it is suppossed to as well. Even so, with bungees holding them securely in place, it doesn't take much to jettison both of the goddamn things and go back miles looking for them, or find out that a vent popped off and youve been leaking gas all over the silencers :shoothead: 5.5 gal tank is probably the way to go...
  13. Im pretty sure they are standard thread. Don't remember anything being "anti-clockwise", though I do like that term, popular in F1
  14. First thing I thought when I saw the topic was "woods port for my R". Hear alot of real good things about him on here
  15. Why are you mixing the fuel? 22cc domes should have you at stock compression.
  16. just one question on the sync tool when i rev it up just slightly to about 4000 rpms it almost buries the needle to the point of almost not bein able to read it. is that normal? Almost like the bike is drawing more air as the carb is opened, weird. J/K Yes, that is normal. It is very possible that you have an electrical issue. Stators act up when they get warm. I have a 250r that had the same thing going on, and the CDI took a dump shortly after.
  17. Sounds high, may be your guage. Stock is around 125psI@sea level
  18. IDK anything about 33's but you need to give the kind folks here some more info on your setup. What jets you tried and how it ran, needle type/clip position, temp. and elevation. That may get a few bites for you
  19. Waited all day yesterday for a UPS package that was "in transit" to my house. Nothing. Checked later and it had been delivered!! Wonder who got it.......... fuckin assholes!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. at least lube the cable
  21. Poorboy, It is a crap shoot until you save up like $40 to buy the silencers that go with the pipes. I dont know if the stock silencers will work with them or not. IF you had the proper silencers, we would still need to know your approximate elevation to make a decent recommendation. While your saving your money, research PLUG CHOP on here, don't cost nothin'!!!!
  22. May as well throw the stator in the ring, they act up when the bike heats up..............
  23. It's topics like these where you might see Brooke make a guest appearance.........
  24. Spend a few dollars and build yourself a homemade leakdown tester. This will check your crank seals and boots for cracks. Save yourself another top end this way...........
  25. I don't think that would be your best choice. If you are certain that you are not going to get your jugs ported, then the T-6's would work a lil better than T-5's.
