  1. Sounds good. I'm originally from kingsford and have a couple of buddies around there that ride. Theyve got 4x4's but its still a good time. I'll give you a heads up when we plan a ride next.
  2. Are there any good/bad things to say about engine ice? I just see it advertised alot and wanted to know if was worth it.
  3. I was going to order some diff Klotz formulas but I was wondering will these heavier oils mix easily in the gas tank itself? I am forced to do this from time to time. I use Amsoil Interceptor now and I have done this on many occasions and not had a problem. Will Koltz?
  4. Rip, sorry for the belated reply but I was wondering what maxxis tire you are running? I am looking for the ground clearance of a 22 but want one that handles/grips the best if possible
  5. You should have ordered some bigger mains...just to be safe. I just went through this and at the same temp and elevation. 340s until I got color on the plug chop. Seems as everones is a little different, just that you'll have to wait for more jets to arrive or hunt some down if you end up lean...
  6. As far as starting your 'shee, my '04 has always started on the first kick provided the choke is pulled out to the first notch. Don't give it any gas and take a stab at the kicker. I dont know, works for me in any spring/summer temp. Thats with a cold engine, warm I use no choke. This is the only one Ive ever owned, and they say theyre all different.....lol
  7. I'm looking for more ground clearance on the trail and I have 18" Holeshots. Love the way they hook up and slide, just wondering if there will be any major suprises with a 22" version.
  8. Did a chop today and finally got it!!! 340s and its about 63F out. I was discouraged til I finally took the time to cut the threads off the plug. Thought Id be able to see color from the top but I was wrong. Tan and about 2mm tall,( not as oily as your pics, booker) I'm satisfied. I know this will be a bit rich in the upper eighties and nineties, but if it rips anything like it does now, I should be able to hang with my buddies 4X4s on the trail. Still doesnt have any low end power, none to speak of til I get on the mains. Pilots? Air screws? Live with it? How many HP are ssts and a K&N good for? I almost soiled myself WOT in sixth! I did go one tooth larger in the front and one smaller in the rear for gas mileage on trail rides, but I guess going up 14 sizes on my main will wipe that out and then some. Thanks for all the help so far guys, I owe you all a beer or three! :baseball_w00t:
  9. I noticed you run B8ES and not BR8ES. Why is that? Why are your mains so tiny(no offense)?
  10. Should I have to go bigger or should I start looking for problems elswhere? I have sprayed around carbs while the motor is idling with carb cleaner and havent noticed any erratic idle or anything. Should I have the thing pressure tested or go to 340s or 360s? I never performed a plug chop with stock pipes and air filter so I have no base to go on.
  11. Turned out the pilot jet was suck in the seat. Freed it up and it worked fine. Now I took it out and ran it finally, and did a plug chop. The insulators looked like they were as clean as when I put them in out of the box. My dealer says that I must still have problems with the pilot because I should not need to go up any more on the mains. Any thoughts? Where can I find what I need, my dealer has nothing!?? :baseball_bat:
  12. Have recenly switched my mains from 200 to 300 to start with the plug chops, ect.. Have never done this and it showed because I havent been able to even start the bike because gas just pours out of my right side carb when I turn the gas on. Some buddies say my float is stuck and to lightly tap on the side of the carb with something non-metallic. I have tried this to no avail and have taken this carb out again and cant find out where I have gone wrong. everything is hooked up as it was but I did notice a stickiness in the throttle valve but both are in synch when viewed through air intake and carb window shows the needle valve in correct setting. I might have bent something when the float bowl broke free of the gasket, it was very sudden and forcefull. But I m hoping one of you guys will tell me something simple I am doing wrong. One more thing, The SSTs I have fit like shit and the rs is crammed into the radiator hose about 2inches away from the pump discharge. I know that cant be good.. Any thoughts on that?? HELP
