  1. Thank you, Edgehanger, you were correct. I thought I was more careful than that, but whatever; It RUNS!!!
  2. I did do a leakdown after it was assembled; maybe I will have to do another to see if anything has changed since it has run a little.
  3. Recent rebuild, trying to get her going.... fired it up and noticed the choke would race the engine when warm, instead of "choking" it out. Cleaned the carbs, adjusted throttle cable, ect. I figured the cleaning would help, and it did, but still have something jazzed. Stock carbs with TORS removal kit. HELP!!!
  4. changing the vf reed petals

  5. Are these for a stock head, perhaps? There are two in my gasket kit, where are they supposed to fit?
  6. Been a while since I've been on here, glad to see everyone's mind is still in the gutter!!!!!! Got the long o-ring to fit. Hoping they threw a few extra o-rings in for other types of heads because I have a few extra.
  7. I used O-ring grease on them. I will let you know if it shrinks. Anyone know where the single 2 1/2" one fits?
  8. The longest one that seals the two halves has 1/2" "inch worm" when put in the groove. Any ideas? I could cut and superglue it, but I think this would make a hard spot that may leak. Also, I have one loner that is 2 1/2" in diameter? Chariot racing brand o-rings. First time with this, I hope I don't have to order new ones without even using these. CAN ANYTHING GO RIGHT WITH THIS BUILD!!!?????? Thanks for the help!
  9. I usually throw them away at work when I have to disassemble one, then replace with a new one!! You owe me a few beers by now!!!!
  10. You didn't check the crankcase oil, you checked the transmission oil. Do a pressure test BEFORE you tear it down to find out what went wrong.
  11. Your PM mailbox is full. Dibs on the toolbox if you have it! Also need a tail light.
  12. Do a search spelling it ANODIZE, you will have better results
  13. Very nice! I'm not real big on theme bikes but I have to say this is exceptional
  14. X2 Definitely doesn't go high enough for an "ergonomic" work height, very heavy, nerf bars have to come off. For the weight of sport quads, a 5 gallon pail works better. If I had a garage, it would be nice to roll the quad out of the way mid-build.
  15. I believe the Clymer's manual (get one) states 2 quarts on a rebuild, one and one half for a periodic oil change.
