  1. I built a crate out of some 2x6's I had laying around and used plumbers strap to hold her in there. Was heavy, though. The magic number for ups is 80#, I think. Mine was #116 and the cost about doubled ($156) I think next time I will get a Rubbermaid container, put the motor in a plastic bag, and use that soft foam-o-fill. Squirt it in the container and drop the motor in there after it has set up a little, but not totally. The upside is your builder will likely charge you less to ship it back because they typically have better rates because of their volume.
  2. Are you taking the weight off the wheels? I think I remember supporting it so the rear wheels touched enough to keep it from moving when I drifted the tube out and may have disconnected the rear shock..
  3. Should be able to re-jet without removing the carbs. Loosen the clamps and remove the tops and slides, then just twist them in the boots and remove the bowls. Tada!
  4. You can also hog out the adjustment slots on the carrier and buy some longer studs at the hardware store with acorn nuts to turn'em. This will help but probably won't get you where you need to be.
  5. I have one of those, can fit a 2 gal can where the cooler is supposed to go. That helps cause then youve got close to a full tank on the back. Just be careful, I used mine once so far and had the gas cans pop out about five or six times within a hundred miles. Or you stop cause you smell gas and find out that one of the cans are leaking from somewhere and spilling fuel all over the exhaust!!!! Yes, I had them bungeed to the hilt, also. It was a very mild, smooth trail that you'd guess you could drink a cup of coffee down. Keep an eye out on ebay, thats where I got mine for around 30-40 bucks.
  6. Still got the stock/foam air filter? I went to a 340 main when I put my fmf's on with K&N and no lid. Would probably be safe to start there and work your way down if needed. I am at 800ft. Do a plug chop. Lean the clip out one position. 27.5 pilot Just my $.02
  7. 160p.s.i. and +4 timing @ 900ft here. 93 all day for me, no problems.
  8. My old man's lawn is his baby. I know he said he just paid a flat rate to the company that sprays some type of chemical on his lawn a couple times a year to the tune of $1500. That and being able to feed the in-ground sprinklers from the river he lives on equals a nice green lawn with no weeds!
  9. I could kick myself in the ass for not getting one with pistol grip when im lying under my truck trying to hold the fitting on the zerk with one hand and gain leverage against something with the other, usually the side of my face. One of each, or an electric one, would be great. I do jack off constantly, BTW.
  10. Chuck Norris doesn't sleep.............He waits.......... Behind Chuck Norris' beard there is no chin.................there is only another fist.
  11. For some reason I can recall the Dirtwheels/3&4 Wheeler shootouts. Stock and in new condition the Banshee gets a couple lengths on the holeshot but the 500 grows longer legs and is faster. 20 years later and it's probably a different story because your more than likely not talking about stock motors.
  12. I think he's referring to their electrical "bugs". :nuke:
  13. Hey Red, Happy 5000th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Does't sound bad, just start with your largest main and do a plug chop to find out for sure.
  15. It is "coleman fuel." Used for camping stoves, lanterns, ect. Comes in a rectangular metal can, 1 gal./$6.
  16. Used to go out with a chick from Fenton, sounds like a rough place. Her date got shot in gang crossfire at a high school dance!!!
  17. I have the +2 Armadillo silver vein and can't complain, other than the ball joint boots ripping.
  18. You want to be nice to NYUK, chances are you'll need parts from him someday.......
  19. Does their number come up when they call? Save the number and the messages and call the authorities. They can probably stop this with one call to the culprit. Not too many dummies are stupid enough to risk charges and all that for some crank calls. Maybe you could block the incoming numbers?
  20. Those bolts are threaded into the frame. I have no idea why you would cut a stripped bolt off? Now you need to drill a hole in it and use an eazy-out or similar. Probably need to do that to the other one while your at it. The one you snapped off, were you tightening it when it broke or trying to loosen it? Then your going to have to drill/tap to the next size and buy new bolts to fit or use some heli coils.
  21. Let me be the first to tell you to stay away from the bottle!! They do nothing except crack your intake boots, making your engine seize.
  22. Guys with built bikes like that seem to really take 'er when it comes time to get rid of them... if you do decide to part it out put some prices on here, there's a bunch of us that will pick at it. Might ask NYUK about parting it out or not, he's always spinnin' banshees in and out his place.... I think he'll give you good advice on that one
  23. IDK if it's funky lighting or what but.... does it look like he spray painted the a-arms without taking them off or masking anything?
  24. Elevation, location and temp!
