  1. injector cleaner, carb cleaner, frees lifters and rings, de-icer anti gel, upper cylinder lube, dries oil and fuel. Had a can laying around... I think you can even use it as a mouthwash........
  2. There was a quite lengthy thread on this a couple months ago, try doing a search. I think a member or two on here have LT450s.
  3. It's a fuel stabilizer/injector cleaner/carbon cleaner, ect. ect....
  4. Do you know how much it weighed, cause that is way cheaper than what they charged me How long do you figure before you get your motor back?
  5. I made a wooden crate, sturdy but hefty. Motor and crate weighed in at 116 LBS and it was $158 to ship from Michigan to Kansas using UPS. I dont know what an engine alone weighs but if you can make it 80# or less the shipping cost is greatly reduced. Hope this helps
  6. Looks real nice! Very tastefull and badass. You should list some mods in your sig, unless there are none and it's all show..... :woot:
  7. A 3 or 4 year old trail sled with 2K or so miles, most likely a 500-800cc 2-stroke. Would beat the pants off just about any Banshee with that conversion kit. Can't blame the guy for trying to recoup his money on the thing though.
  8. Reserve is above $2,000 Said he paid alot more for it... Good luck with THAT! You can get a pretty decent sled for 2K, unless someone is hellbent on converting their Shee just for the novelty of it.
  9. elevation 1200 temp 98 fuel type 91. Maybe the guy had heatstroke when he tested if it was that hot. Speaking gibberish is one of the symptoms
  10. A guy at work brought me an issue of dirtwheels from '95 or '96 with a kit like that. It showed it going through some decent snow and it operated throughout their day of testing without messing up. I cant tell if it is the same kit but that one sold for like $1200 or so. For around 300 or 400 it is a little more tempting....
  11. I thought all along it had to do with the carbon content of the steel and the heat treatment process it had endured, am I wrong?
  12. Where exactly is the powerband hit on that pipe? :teehee:
  13. oh and do you recommend getting bolts from the dealership or find some stainless ones, i might be green but what are graded bolts? Graded bolts (grade 8) are hardened for a higher tensile strength. If you go with OEM, try one of the sites advertised on the site, teamalpine.com. They offer discounts and have on-line microfiche exploded diagrams so you know exactly what you are ordering. If your dealership is like most, they will have to order them anyway; usually at a higher cost and longer wait time!!!
  14. Expecting my motor back in a few weeks from Jeff. Going from stock motor with pipes and a filter with a whopping 90psi of compression to Jeffs Dune Port w/case match, noss head, timing plate, clutch, and a few other goodies. He says I better hang on!!!
  15. If you dont have a welder try using a pipe wrench or vise grips. A little heat will soften the loctite as well
  16. iS THere A rEasOn For yOur raNdoM CaPitaLizatiOn?
  17. Are you getting spark on that side? Check that out..
  18. Definately looks on the safe side. I believe you want that ring to be 2mm tall, and that looks like all of 2mm. I'm no expert, just thought I'd give you a bump so the Guru's will see your post when they wake up!!
  19. I like the top one but it should say Holton KS on it also. Gives it an authentic look, dont want people to think it's from Old Navy!!!!!
  20. I agree, the 4 gallons look better, but that just won't cut it. I have an extra set of fenders so if I want I can switch back and forth. My buddies get upset because they can ride like all day on a tank with their 4x4s and I need to strap gas tanks on the back of their machines. They want to span 60-80 miles in between fill ups, and I am in the process of having my jugs ported!!! I would also like to increase my range for some solo trips--always worrying about running out of gas sucks!
  21. The 5.6 GAL. I need to turn this thing into an oil rig for long trail rides. I just dont like the looks of the IMS tanks. I found alot of posts and was lead to believe that a few members have them. If I could just get a good look.....
  22. Did a search and found this topic numerous times, but no one posts any pics. Emailed the "Clarke gas tank guy" and he has no other pics besides the angled side view. Could one of you fine individuals with a Clarke tank please post some different angled pics, front and rear? I'm real close to ordering one but I would like to see some more pics. Thanks!
  23. also check for a wear ring on the needle/seat that the float operates. If it is grooved, that may be worn out and need to be replaced!
