  1. WSM is great shit! Especially if you get in to the bigger pistons, because big bore sizes are available at a pretty stellar price. TDR distributes the WSM stuff at a great price.
  2. I suggest adding the .050 base plate. It will make the cylinders way taller and then you will have hella displacement.
  3. Crank bearings are about to take a dive!
  4. The pipe flange pretty straight in to the header? Doubt that's your problem, but if they are turned pretty hard they can be holding heat back
  5. Faster, cheaper......... A long time ago as a young lass,I learned in business you have 3 options. Good, Fast, Cheap..... Pick two. Now that phrase gets kicked around all the time here. It's for a reason.
  6. Fresh metallics and candy is so sexy! I remember putting min together and how gorgeous it once was....
  7. I've seen it done, but from what I have heard it is not the best option. Apparently it messes with case volume and will just let fuel/oil mixture pool up.
  8. UPP is good stuff!
  9. Do you take sexual favors? I got my GF on standby ; )
  10. Gear the bitch 12/50, lots of Bling Bling! Then you can be in your own Ruff RyderZ video......
  11. Don't even bother comparing to a durablue. I guess they were ok, but your bench mark to beat will be the rath bar.......
  12. By the way, A 4t80e is the heavier duty FWD tranny. So, just realize that because you Havnt heard of it doesn't mean it's not legit. And Bama, 4L80's do go bad. I used to work in a transmission core warehouse and we deal with a lot of the GM surplus and a few big auto salvage yards accross the nation. There have been days where I unloaded 2 53 foot trailers of nothing but 4L80's. All in those stupid ass coffins! They are actually worth a lot of cash for he cores because not many parts are available. We bought cores at the door and paid $500 cash for em IF I dropped the pan and didn't see a fucking grenade!
  13. So, dealer ship sells bogus bike. You then take it to them for work? You are already fucked and you don't even know it. The thing about dealerships now is the employees are just mostly MMI grads that just decided they wanna work on motorcycles so they went and took some crash course and got a certificate. No don't get me wrong, some of them are good. But most of them are just regurgitating their text books and their real world experience before their job at the dealer is NONE! I know guys at automotive and motorcycle dealerships. They all say that these high paced crash course tech schools are just cranking out idiots. Just think of that before you take it to a shop. Because if you are qualified to look through a manual or get on here to figure out your problems, you are probably almost as qualified as the guy at the dealership if it's not a mechanic that has t been doing it for 20 years.
  14. Brandon is supposed to be top notch with the cheetahs. Same goes for Tim Bond at Titan racing.
  15. It should be noted that the fix required a trip out to Howell Michigan for Rob to fabricate some new pipes ; )
  16. Cost is the concern. If you're on a budget. Get the crank checked over, and decide if you need a new one or not. If you do, just go for a 4mm build in the stock cyls. You can build it up slowly. But If money is no object a bad ass serval would be.... Well pretty bad ass.
  17. Sideways. PM me your E-mail. I already have a huge E-mail I put together with photos and measurements on my rath bar that I sent to Chris at wheelman. I can send it to ya whenever you are ready. I like what Jesse said about possibly a 26" bar for the LT set ups. The LT helps with droop so much. At first it doesn't really matter when it breaks loose and blows the tires off. But now that I can get my bike hooked up it just picks the front up and makes it shove to the out side so I need LT to drop the tires farther down for more bite. I'd love to test one of them if you get set up!
  18. What is your compression on those particular domes? And who are they done by. I feel like alky does really stellar in the 160-175 range
  19. Shalom means peace, hello, and.... GOODBYE!
  20. Not really anything else out there for us that is a good 75ish HP "out of the box". Especially with a linear curve For trails. I'd say do the stockers if you have some. Because you will need to buy all the same components to make it run around the 75 HP level as you would with a properly set up serval. The main difference between the serval and stockers is the little bit of displacement increase allows you the extra power on pump gas as opposed to race fuel. You can have your Athena's done to, but they will need to be done by someone who really knows how to massage them. For something like what you're looking for, the builder won't be actually raising port durations and timings. They will be more focused on cleaning up and tweaking angles.
  21. Find another gauge known to work, then check it again. If it still does that, it is time for a rebuild.
  22. Does the bike still have the TORS system and parking brake? Those tend to get screwy after a bit some times.
  23. A ported stock cylinder with 4mm stroker on race fuel will definitely be capable of making your 80 HP goal. You could go with a serval and get it ported and make the same on pump fuel, but it's more dollars. As far as alky vs. race fuel..... It's kind of an opinion, but alky is not for the lazy. It is a cheaper fuel, but requires a little bit pricier carbs and it will need to be purged in between rides. Race fuel is fun, but you have a totally different looking plug then what you are used to hearing about.
