Haha! If I didn't know better I'd say that was a photo of my crank from the white lake ice races a few years ago. I had pods on and one of the turns had a fucking pond filling up in it. Needless to say, airbox if it's really wet. Otherwise the pods are better performance and way easier to do work on the bike. The only question is whether your riding is going to need a foam or gauze type filter. Basically if there is very dusty or silt like conditions the Foam does a better job. But they do clog up much faster. It helps to put a panty hose over them and use them like an outer wear. There is a brand called Filter Socks, they are the same thing but just way pricier.
