  1. holeshot hd or razr. Or stock yfz tires work good to,and also cast wheels break easier.
  2. Adjust your cable at the clucth perch 80% in, then adjust the clutch shaft screw till it gets the slack out.
  3. Best person to talk to is the manufacture, call them and ask the techs.
  4. http://www.racelogic.com/newbanshee.shtml Heres a web site for you.You need to be very careful or you will slip and hit the cyliders.Port it before you bore it. YOU will need a air grinder, long 3/8 carbide bur, sanding drums, dremel flex shaft and bits.Make sure you chamfer the port edges,so the rings dont catch.
  5. my local yamaha shop in PA will straighten for like 30$ or 40$.Check around.
  6. Yea remove gas tank and it can be done.Just spray off all dirt off every thingbefore disassembly.
  7. Is the flywheel key not sheared and flywheel tight.Best to install new plugs after you foul them.
  8. Have you owned all three?
  9. The timing key is on the shaft under the flywheel.A key is just to index the timing. So when you install flywheel make sure you use a impact wrench to get tight or you will shear the key.
  10. Yes a thicker base gasket will defeat the whole purpose of milling the head.
  11. Is there a groove in the impeller shaft from wear. Those after market impeller shafts are usually softer than stock.
  12. For all around I say Pro circuit, broadest power band. They go fast, and easy to ride wheelies, and rev about 100 rpm faster than t5s.But many are good,I dont care for Dg or Turners.I have personally used Fmf fatty,Fmf gnarly,Pual Turner midrange,ProCircuit,2 into 1 junk,CPIs.With the right setup alot of pipes work great.Go to the drags or flat trak you will see most pipes perform well.
  13. 280-300 mains at tops if its not ported. 27.5 or 30 pilots Most banshees with aftermarket pipes do not like stock 25 pilot jets . The pilot jet holes are so small they can plug up with dirt and fuzz. Your problem is deffently most likely the pilots and is the rubber hose on between the carbs,it ties the two together for the choke circuit.Once you get these jets in then if it dont start good you can look at compression and other areas.Dont be afraid to play with the air screws 1/4 to 2 1/4 turns. when its real cold out you may want to limit how long you hold it wide open. your jetting should be between 260 thru 320.When Im done with a ported shee with every thing on using stock carbs I have had to go as high as 440 mains .
  14. Your front tires are not towed out inthe front are they? Use a tape measure when checking .The front of the front tires should measure 1/4 to 3/8 less than the back of the front tires. You can ratchet strap the bars straight.Use 2 straps to the rear grab bar and tighten so bars are straight and dont move. Now loosen the 4 ball joint lock nuts and adjust everything where it needs to be.Alot of time I will get a straight edge like a level or whatever.Hold the straight edge on the front rims in reference to the rear tires so bothsides are the same, and you still have the front slightly towed in.Your rear axel could be out of whack some. The easy way to tell that is air rear tires thre axact same, then ride a wheelie on flat black top.If it wheelies fairly straight then its the problem is up front. Hope you understand all this .and get er done. Oh yea dont count threads usemore thechnoligy than that,if something gets a little bent or wore counting threads wont get you any where.
  15. Just dont buy race gas unless you really need it.High octane prevents detenation ,does not make a stock engine run better. It also gets old not being able to pull up to the gas station for 91 or 93 octane.
  16. Does it start easily?
  17. Yea you can port it,but I would not spend a fortune on the port job at this point.Check out Twister cranshaft racing,I know he gave me a good price once to resleeve. And once you get it ported you will wanted it jetted right the first time before you hold it wide open all the time.Run good mix oil,and keep your air cleaners clean and oiled. If you maintain your shee it will hold up good. Also stick to Wiseco pistons.
  18. Toomey T5s for trade?
  19. Yea what do you want, brand new in the bag for $50 bucs.
  20. You dont need bigger carbs yet.A blaster has a bigger piston yet and yamaha still uses 26mm carbs on it.
  21. I agree, stay away from the 4o4 ro 409.I can port a 350 and it will whoop those kits your talking about with less money and cheaper to keep going in the long run.
  22. Alignment, bearings, bad tie rod, tires,Take your pick. When sitting still do you have bake and forth play when you turn the bars left to right just a bit.Jack the front up and look for loose parts wiggle side to side and up and down,if there is play at a- armto frame bushings it will not cause the problem. when bike is on ground measure the space between front of wheels and at the back of front wheels.I usually pick the center knobs, the front should be 1/4" less then the back.So the front wheels actually point in1/4. shakes then tires likely,Wants to wonder around the road alignment wrong likely.
  23. 280 to 300 mains and 27.5 for the pilots .You did put new gas in it right.Old gas would have very low octane.
