I can't believe your didn't melt down with a 250 main.what's the temp where your at,I would try 300 -330 if your in the 50 -75 degree f range.30-50 degrees I would step up a couple more. you should be fine with the stock pilot, maybe a 27.5

I personally would go to larger carbs first, your already maxing out the stock carbs...

What did the yamaha dealer tell you to do to fix the problem???did you have this problem before you added 1 qt of oil??? I would drain the oil again and put in 1.5 qts, maybe someone put the wrong dipstick on your banshee.

I got the mo power everywhere port it's awesome. starts pulling sooner, revs higher,and pulls harder throughout. port was $250, pistons $150 i think, $25 a hole to bore. call and talk to him the guys awesome. compression and timing will help your bottom end. to much comp or timing will hurt yout top end. ricky stator plate is only $35 flywheel and shiftstar by boonman is about $100 awesome mods

where your plugs wet when you changed them? it almost sounds like lack of fuel, pull your fuel line to the carbs and make sure it's flowing well, if it's not, try cleaning the screens on the fuel valve. also ckeck that the floats aren't stuck, and they move freely. make sure the needle and seat are flowing good also.

what side are you losing, when you pull the choke your pulling fuel from the bowl, not just the idle circuit. If you have a plug pilot or idle passage this would cause a lack of fuel, causing you to lose one side.

who did your porting, if the cylinders aren't flowing the same, the plugs won't look the same.check the resistance in your spark plug wires,if the left cylinder has higher resistance the right plug will look leaner. also check your base nuts , make sure they are tight. weak reeds on the left side will make the right side look leaner. hope I helped

if you just want to buy carbs once I would get it ported also.I believe if you go with anything bigger than a 30mm, your going to hurt your bottom end and not gain much on top. if you port you can run alot more carb. what kind of riding do you do most.

my tops are longer than the bottoms, I think it depends where the sping mount is welded.

that motor is going to make good power, at the least i'd get the 21-12-8 10 paddle.

try the drag forum, Iv'e only seen them on drag bikes.

make sure where they throttle cable splits that one or both of the cables are not bound up. I run into a problem there on a buddys banshee.

I would look into suspension if yuor going to race in the desert.

I believe my banshee is 43 inches wide, outside of front tire to outside front tire. with +2 you should be around 47" .

I believe it goes through to the top it drains any thing that you get on the top.

check to make sure your slides are closing. with a flash light you can look through the air box if you still run one.

improper jetting, wrong plug, dirty air filter, low compression, poor fuel, weak spark.plugged spark arester, I'm sure i'm missing a few.

a good trail port won't hurt reliability, trinity cv intake is also great for all around power, much more reliable than stock and easier to tune. without doing motor mods, a good suspension will help you ride alot faster.

I agree, 3-5 degrees you really won't feel a differance

If you have a couple extra bucks get your flywheel lighten and shift star mod from boonman Around $100.
