  1. the 15 works fine in the trails,a little more cluth work if there real tight.
  2. I think the 34's will be to big if your not ported.
  3. I think it has alot to do with how you tune it. I have yet to be beat buy a yfz or trx 450 before I was ported. I raced a 480r, and spanked him from holeshot to the end.he was the closest race I've had with any of the 450'sIf your selling your single,a buddy of mine is looking.
  4. are these still avaible, I live 30 mins away in milford.i can pick them up wed.
  5. awesome tire. good floation and great bite. you'll have more than pipes before you know it.
  6. I would go up 1 in the front also.
  7. I think your tester my be wrong or your dome size is wrong, at 190-195 psi you need race fuel.what type of pistons are you running?
  8. if your air box is untouched snorkle in place, stock air cleaner, the 280 will be close. any changes to the stock air intake system and you'll have to go bigger.
  9. clean the carbs with carb cleaner and compressed air. lower the clip to the fourth from blunt, go to 27.5 pilot, put slides in correct. make sure choke tube is on. or simply just get a trinity 2-1 intake and carb setup
  10. gray sounds lean to me,I would step up 4 sizes on the main and see how that does.I think the ct 370 kit is a long rod package, and the400 is a stroker. I'd call them and tell them your having trouble jetting there engine and need a starting point.
  11. different dyno, different day, new carbs.that sounds like the problem. try back at the first dyno, and tweek the carbs a little. good luck
  12. did you unplug just the tors, or did you also unplug the control box, under gas tank left side? try spraying brake clean non chlorinated on the coil, this disperses the water. but make sure it's not the flamable type.
  13. which way are the cuts on the slide facing when it's running good, towards the air cleaner?
  14. I like my single alot, all my mods are geared towards making my banshee easier to ride but still tons of power. easier to tune and looks alot cleaner too
  15. a easy pull clutch lever and a new cable.I run a single carb and it's easier than the duals. don't know where your at on the jetting now, I step mine up until it burbles then back off one onthe main. onthe pilot if i have a flat spot before the pipe i step up one, if it stumbles i back off one.. I run 32-1 your main sizes will be the same from a 26 to a 28 mm, mikuni's are all the same numbers, the limited dude is mistaken about that. goodluck
  16. I'm not positive but I think 92-95 harnesses are the same. so i would say no about the 99 harness.
  17. no offense, but it looks like your geared for some big hills. if you had a 15 on the front you would do much better drag racing.I had no problems with built 450's before I was ported.
  18. the noss head uses factory studs and comes with a nice set of nuts, personnaly i'd give him your bussiness.
  19. 160 psii cylinder pressure or less on premium, after that race fuel.as long as your squish band hasn't been messed with, i believe under .040 is to thin
  20. Going from a cut head to a noss head with 21cc domesis about the same, you'll notice better cooling from the noss head. you'll have better low end from the timing plate at +4 degrees and it will work well with your other mods. best bang for the buck is porting,a good all around port job make the banshee so much easier to ride and alot faster.
  21. I don't think cubs come with a mild port, think there balls to the wall out of the box.
  22. depends on attlitude, with 19cc domes my cylinder psi is 185, thats to high for pump gas or even 50/50 mix. go to dlnoss web site. he has a chart that will get you in the ball park.
  23. best and affordable, i'd say sand stars. there a great all around and not as costly as skat traks.if your going to do more than pipes, i'd get extremes$$$
  24. have you changed your plugs yet? make sure the connections at the coil are good and clean. check the resistance of the wires and plug caps, either of those could cause weak spark. have you tried another set of carbs?
  25. 280 are going to be lean, the 330 should be ok maybe a little lean at night. hows your throttle response if it's crisp leave the pilot alone. if you have a flat spot before the pipe, bump it up one size. I have read the stock needles are better than the toomeys, but don't know that as fact.
