  1. I'm going to guess he was puking oil out the breather tube
  2. the e-ton viper 50 is kind of big, for a small child. the viper jr is a 40cc with remote kill switch and weighs about 120#. awesome first quad. it's pretty fast also, i geared mine down. another small mini is the LEM condor it's a 50 cc and about the same weight. cost a little more.
  3. he didn't say what type of power bands he had... with out that info ,I say the
  4. un screw the top, pull the spring back and at the same time push the cable off the slide. then you'll need a 1/4 " socket to remove, push down and turn. there should be very little resistance. goodluck
  5. try raising the clip on your needles, there what effect the mid range.
  6. sounds like your close. I would go up one size at a time untill it burbles a little then back off one. then start on the needle
  7. dlnoss has a 1 or 2 he might part with. great product and great service
  8. I have 19cc domes and 185 psi at about 1000ft, hard to start cold could be to small of a pilot jet. you should have more cylinder pressure with those domes
  9. if your running stock carbs and the left side fires with the choke on and idles, but won't fire with the choke off there is something plugged in that carb. I would look there again.
  10. get a clymers manual, has the diagram in the back
  11. if it's not running on the left side at idle, but runs on the left with the choke on you have a plugged idle circuit or pilot. clean your carbs and blow out all the little passages with compressed air.
  12. make sure your tube between carbs is connected, 1/4 x 2. the left bowl should have the choke circuit in it. that is most likely your problem.compression is a little low, also making it hard to start. good luck and welcome to the HQ
  13. I would start at the coil and work my way back through the wiring harness, maybe when the tors and stuff was removed the wire were not properly taped up, or maybe you have a couple wires touching or grounding.
  14. I have to disagree, there not shit .the viper jr is very small and a excellant 1st quad. It's the only one with a remote kill switch. parts are readilly avaible by me, though I haven't had any problems. the predator is big heavy and slow, even the 50 is over 200 lbs. the viper jr is 120 lbs. much easier for a small child to move around. cost is about $500 less than the predator 50 and the e-ton 40 is faster. for the money and quality I have been very happy with the e-ton. and a couple easy mods make it even better.
  15. another vote for the e-ton 40, the remote kill switch is the best. I geared mine down with a 12 in front and a 48 in back. awesome machine. My second son is riding it now. Cody started riding it at 2 1/2, and zac started at 1 1/2 with help. now he rides by himself. They can start racing at 4, start them early.
  16. does it reallty take two 450r's to beat a banshee, and how do you ride both?
  17. I would wait and so how it launches before you change the swingarm, you might like it the way it is. goodluck
  18. not sure about the plate, but it looks like 1 degree advance. also I would replace the stator cover gasket, and make sure the wire grommet it not leaking. you have alot of corrision in there.
  19. If you had it jetted right before, and now went to pods I would step up 2 sizes from where you were at.
  20. I would try some 300's and move the clip up one to the middle. also if your are going to change your oil/fuel ratio, do it before you rejet. you'll be adding more fuel when you change your mix.
  21. I had a bad connection at the coil, the factory connectors suck. I soldered the wires to the coil with a plug in auto style connector, solved my problem
  22. porting, dollar for dollar best money spent.
  23. why is it ok for gay people to adopt childern????
  24. I also took .025 off mine with no problems with 93 octane. passion had a post about the squish band, how it effects the way the engine runs, and how it effects the powerband.
  25. fouling the right plug might be a crank seal, causing the plug to look like that and smoke.a bad groud can cause weak spark, also bad wires or caps. whats the air gap set at on your pick up coil. bad reeds, low compression, float sticking will make it hard to start. good luck
