  1. have you checked your float height? or for a stuck float? is your choke tube connected. good luck
  2. i would check and double check the ground. also make sure the coil has a good groud at the frame. double check all your connections and plugs. good luck
  3. Make sure your slide isn't in backwards on the left carb. good luck
  4. If you haven't checked anything yet, I would check the plugs first. then make sure your grounds are clean and tight, check all electrical connections. also check fuel flow and clean the carbs. If you have spark arresters on make sure there not plugged. good luck
  5. with what your running right now, you will see improvement bottom to top with the single 35. if you have way not try it.
  6. sounds like when you ran the carbs dry that there might have been some dirt or tarnish in the bowls. after it sat and dried it loosened up and plugged a pilot, or passage. clean all the jets with carb cleaner and compressed air. run a small wire through all the passages you can. good luck <style_emoticons/Dark/thumbsup.gif>
  7. I ran the 35 for awhile, then tried my 38 it has been on ever since. works great bottom to top.
  8. rdz's inframes work great on a 421 cub. a friend is running them, and they are insane. not a very trail friendly combo, but fast as hell.
  9. I had them on a honda odessey, they hooked good. but that didn't have as much power as a banshee
  10. 260 mian sounds small even if your running with the lid on. the 25 pilots should be fine with those pipes, but make sure there clean and all the passages are clean.
  11. a plugged pilot jet will cause a cold start problem. bad reeds will also cause a cold start problem
  12. I bought mine from duneland at silver lake, his price was just a little higher than shipping them to my house.
  13. sounds like a lean pilot. what pilot are you running? I agree with the rich main also.
  14. if you were low on fuel and running it hard that could be how you leaned it out, or you have a air leak somewhere. I've run my timing from +3 to +7 with no jetting changes.
  15. you already have the single, try and if it doesn't run the why you like switch to duals. single is easier all the way around.
  16. you shouldn't have to rejet with a +5 timing change. your problem is somewhere else.
  17. are you at a high elevation? 110 psi is low for a fresh topend if your below 2000 ft. I'd agree to make sure the pilots are not clogged. and instead of starting fluid use your premix and a squirt bottle. if your pilots are clean and your air screw is set right you should start on the 2nd or 3rd kick cold.
  18. the rd 400 is a fast bike, that engine rips. I put the engine in a 250r frame years ago, it was awesome. also had a yz 400 in the same frame, that's also a engine that rips.
  19. I ran the t-5s and t-6s before porting, and the t-6s where better. I ran thet-5s and t-6s after having my cylinders ported and the t-6s pull sooner, and harder. I think that I'm right in my case seeing it's my bike and I ran both pipes. my engine was ported for my mods with t-6 pipes and they pull harder than the t-5s. but thanks for your opinion on what works better for me.
  20. I've never run the 33, but I still think with porting you'll be in the 195-205 range. It my be on the fat side, but it won't hurt the pistons and you can jet down.
  21. my coil was the problem. i put silcone on the outside of the coil.
  22. I like it. the heat range on the ground strap looks great, and the color looks good.
  23. that comment about the pipes is not true. if the bulider knows what he's doing and knows what pipes you have they will respond very well to porting. I have run the t-5s before and after porting, and still like the t-6s more. they also look better and sound better.
  24. what size do you have now? how is it running? probably 195-205
  25. with the 2-1 filter you will have to jet higher. try a 300-320 and a 27.5 pilot. goodluck
