  1. you might just need spark plugs...
  2. I agree, still running my t-6's, I like them better than t-5's or fatties. It's all personal preferance.
  3. I would run inframe drag pipes, there all more suited for what you want.v-force are great for a stock or mild motor, but hurt the top end of a big motor. good luck on the perfect engine, don't forget about relibility...
  4. how much oil did you use
  5. the center part pulls right out
  6. I think 35's might be a little big, even when jetted properly you might have a huge flat spot out of the hole.since you bought 170's & 160's, I would start with the 170's
  7. from the dyno sheets iv'e seen, shearer and grand river racing out of frame drag pipes seem to peak the highest.
  8. Did you have to rejet for the t-5's, never heard of the d&d pipes. It's hard to believe they hit harder then the toomeys
  9. If it was running fine with the 290 mains and the problem started during a ride I would first check the spark plugs.
  10. hope you do some fishing...had a similar problem with the left cylinder, changed all the stuff you did, I even ran a hotter plug in the left side. What ended up curing my problem sodiering a plug in style connector to the coil and coil wires, haven't had a problem since.Good luck
  11. I like my t-6 pipes, they work better than t-5 and fattys on my bike. the rockets are suspose to have the best bottom end for a drag or dune pipe. I think the t-6s look much better and perform great on a stock port motor with bolt ons.
  12. what condition are your reeds in...if there hanging open you won't be able to rev as high. it also could be a week ingition, but that would cause the plugs to look fouled.
  13. first check your kill switches, then check for grounded wires. if those check out ok, usually no spark will be a bad coil or cdi. good luck
  14. also make sure everything is clean, don't want any piston or bearing messing up the new engine.
  15. I'm running +5, 155 psi on 92, no problems so far.
  16. kinda sounds like your clutch is slipping, it's reving but not pulling hard, your plugs look good. i'd look into the clutch or clutch adjustment...
  17. tip your bike on its side and remove the clutch cover and adjust. simple as that, about 30 min.
  18. I kinda had the same problem, I parked my 250r after a day of riding went to start it a few weeks later on spark or interminent spark. my problem ended up being the coil.
  19. you really don't need them. the banshee engine was base on a rd 350 street bike design, there design is for a smoother engagement of the clutch.
  20. when you install the new clutch, make sure you adjust the clutch rod before you put the side cover back on.
  21. I have stock port and bolt on mods, the t-6s work great.
  22. maybe above 10500 rpm,
  23. when your replacing your clutch I would also check the basket, the fingers my be wore and need replaced.
  24. I would run 3 stiff and 3 stock, it's alot easier to pull.
  25. I run a 38mm on mine without porting, helped the top and hurt the bottom very little over the 35mm. you shouln't have any trouble with it. good luck
