  1. make sure all your connectors have a good connection, also make sure you have a good ground.
  2. rdz pipes are not the same as shearers, they pull a little higher. rob makes awesome power with stock cylinders, but you will get more with cubs plus more relibility. robs shit is very fast. good luck
  3. The dmc 916 pipes sound awesome, there suspose to have a good bottom and mid, with a better than stock top. the silencer looks cool also
  4. my headers on my mustang would glow after a run on nitrous, but I ran it rich on the fuel side to be safe, I think too much fuel and not enough air to cool it down makes the exhaust hot, and to much air and not enough fuel melts the piston. blah,blah,blah... good luck
  5. with pipes on your banshee you should already be spanking your buddy...you need to pratice your holeshot and learn when to shift. ricky stator timing plate, lighten flywheel, v-force, and noss head, awesome boltons. eric gorr porting is cheaper than all those bolt ons, and makes more power. fast turn around also, sent my jugs in and had them back in 2 weeks
  6. the big screws under your seat are your idle screws.try that
  7. jetting is easier, it pulls better from bottom to top over stock carbs. looks way better. I love mine.
  8. I think you are too lean on the main and thats why your falling flat on top... also shear pipes pull to 10500 rpm way beyond the trinity intake.I'm running a 38, 55 pilot and 215 main. jet up
  9. if your looking at them and they are not completely closed you can flip them or replace them.if there cracked or chipped replace them.v-force 2 works great don't know about the 3's
  10. check your reeds also, if there hanging open it will be hard to start.
  11. I would clean the carbs good now that you have them apart, and also take everybody advice when we tell you that a 280 is way to lean with your mods, keep running race fuel. good luck
  12. I diden't rejet mine, had no problems. your not adding air so you shouldn't need any more fuel. I ran between 4 and 7 degrees, Ilike 5 the best, still starts easy. at 7 it started a little harder.
  13. I run br8es or b8es. a 9 is a little colder and a 7 is alittle hotter. the r is for resister, you need thoes so it won't mess with the radio..
  14. I do a couple heat cycles, then a couple of short rides, varing the rpm using about 1/2 throttle. then a couple rides at 3/4 throttle. then I ride like a banshee. I have also just done a couple of heat cycles on my 250r, then ride it hard with no problems that way either. good luck
  15. sand and paddles also 450r's and yzf 450's
  16. does it start good after you have had it running? if it does, i would try cleaning the carbs. compression should be 110-130 on a stock bike, unless your way up in the mountains it will be less.
  17. are you using your choke when you try to start it...
  18. make sure you have it set at the right depth or that side will act like it's running out of gas because the jet is to high.
  19. eric gorr at forward motion. pistons and bore $200. I had my head done at the auto shop. $25
  20. I had a rd 400 in a 88 250r frame, basically the same bottom end with a air cooled top.the engine fit good, the pipes were a little bit of a problem. also had a yz 400 in the same frame. both were extremely fast
  21. I think the honda let you win, he felt bad for you... my 250r spanks raptors
  22. I would do the timing plate know, great mod for a stock or ported motor. I would also lighten the flywheel while it's apart, also a great mod for stock or ported motor.boonman does it for $65 with very fast turn around.
  23. I needed a new topend. I call forward motion and talk to Eric Gorr about porting with the t-6 pipes told him what toomey said about the pipes, being designed for stock porting. He said he doesn't change the exhaust port, just cleans it up. That most of the power is made in the transfer ports. He told me the power would come on sooner and rev higher, and pull harder throughout and thats exactly what it does. I'm very happy with his work and very happy with my pipes.
  24. I would start with a 190 and go from there, I'm running a 200 main, but I'm also running a 38mm carb,stock cylinders. Good luck
