  1. use a good r-1 clutch or drivelien clutch. hope you didnt order an OEM clutch.. replace the seal and the o-ring either lube the o-ring with vaseline or light grease or yamabond the hole. ( i usually yama the whole thing to make sure it seals make sure the gear and all the drive parts are ok. if the shavings were bad enough to damage the water pump seal they probably tore the crank seal on the transmission side. i would consider replaceing it and splitting the cases to clean everythign out of the bottom end.. if the motor makes enough power you may even consider replaceing the basket with a MATTOON billet basket.
  2. i can see that ist bent. looks like it hit a tree or post or something at some time.. measureing it will just show you how bad it is. look for a good frame i sell frames locally adn when i have a good one they usually bring 250-300 depending on condition. craigslist is a good way to find one. you just need to look at it closely before you buy it.
  3. you have found the common problem wit the tors set up most noobs turnt he screws in too much or to hard adn break everything in there.. then blame the tors setup for their mess up. i would also say ditch it all and get the update ( tors removal kit) you wont regret it at all. just install it right or you will have other problems..

  6. turf tamers sucks razr's kinda suck shredders suck a lot kenda klaw's hook excellent and they wear very nicely. front and rear. i also really liked the full set of kfx450 tires they are not to tall and have an excellent flat top profile for traction medium density compound and are really really cheap for a dunlop. full set front and rear from rockymountain were 160 to my door.

  8. oh yea good call on the pancake i would also add thaqt most over's 5th is not ramped. so it can be backloaded no problem. i'd also add that any higher springed clutch should have a bearing adjuster on it also.. they are worth evey penny

    ya know at this point i have had 5 people call me and ask me the stupids things and one person come and look at it his wife said this is what we need but he wanted to "think" about it. i dont even care if i sell it anymore its only 100 bones. its worth it to me that hopefully the wackjob that called me today rereads the add and gets pissed off.. so many craigslisters are just absolutely idiotic sometimes i cannot believe these are the same people that make over 100k a year..

  12. impact driver costs about 10-20 bucks for a good one. you will need to replace the shift shaft, the spring, the alignment pin, and the lockwasher for the pin clutch cover gasket and 2 qts of motorcycle or atv specific oil.. if you just flop it back in place it WILL turn sideways again..

  15. while you ahve it apart it would be a good time to do a stock trans mod, billet basket, and hopefully its got a good non stock clutch in it with better springs. i'd also recomend a top case fill to better fit the serval.. but thats just me.. i woked on a motor a few weeks back the cases were split and the half moon thingy was still there they beat on it till it poped apart. i couldnt believe it.. clutch was all ont he trans still they didnt want to try and take the clutch apart!
  16. use a bearing installer or a press you can make an installer really easy with a piece of all thread.. dont smack them in or you will destroy them.

  19. stock cylinder banshees can be made really fast adn reliable,. no matter what 450's are time bombs they are ready to blow at any minute over the 65hp mark i dont care what you guys say they are piles of shit ( in my opinion) for drag racing the thing that makes them seem fast IS the broad powerband they somewhat have and the high rpm mark they are capable of hitting the bike as a whole is much lighter than a banshee also. to handle a mighty motor inthe trails 80+hp and high tq, you will need a lot of proper suspension and a lot of respect for it.. my personal trail bike is a 421 stock cylinder alky 4 mill and its a blast in the trails, dunes. but drag racing the swingarm is just not nearly long enough its about the same as a -1 on std banshee frame. it wheelies like crazy.. just go race the dude..
  20. only cranks i am running anymore are actual hotrods cranks, or the tiawan import that you can get from m+m or sstar on ebay. i try to use andy as he assembles them and welds them there at his place. heard just too many bad experiences with the vito's and the wiseco china shit cranks.

  24. i vote plastics. i am sure voltric is wanting to get some stuff out and on a bike or 2. if they ahve a rear in the works i'd like a front and rear..
