  1. hot rods, veserah, are ok never used the proX rods on anything.. anything china made you are rolling the dice on quality
  2. big time lean out. maybe you ran it down a road topped out and it fuel starved on that side or got some shit in t he main.. OOPS!! that had to have sounded really bad
  3. sell the bike.. avoid water..
  4. where: most places how much: depends i have a PV 485 cheeta i'd sell. also a 535 PV cheeta i might sell as well
  5. i'm still wondering ho wthe "templates" came out..] i have ran 196/130 on trail bikes and 195/130 also they seem to have plenty of bottom end. also ran 198/130 on most drag motors. with good resultes. maybe i am just used to arm ripping hp?
  6. use OEM seals.. period.. i usually smear a very thin coat of yamah bond on the outside of the seal around the case. i have also put them in dray with no problems. never ever ever use sealer on a base gasket escpecially the paper ones it WILL blow out.
  7. hmm the RULE is if your going to fit new pistons YOU better bore it. i have almost NEVER been able to reuse a previous bore due to wear. the skirts of any piston will break off and shatter.. its just going to happen. i have been using the namura's on the last few budget low HP stocker rebuilds i have done. they seemed fine and the bikes all ran fine i did a bore, hone and they were seta t proper clearance and all other precations were taken ( clean engine assembly, proper lube, proper tuning after rebuild, proper oil/ gas mix) one motor i did a very long time ago lasted 3 years with no issues the rings finally wore out enough it just lost compression.. with any motor work you have to rember its a MACHINE it takes proper rebuilding techniques and measurement of vital parts is important.. just because theya re easy to work on dosent mean you can just cut corners. if cast pistons were weak evey newly built banshee would have needed a new topend in a year or less.. and i have seen them last over 5...
  8. i hate 30 pilots in mostly stock / modded banshee's i really dont know why they get recomend all the time. they are mostly too RICH 27.5 is a nice middle from stock. most of the ones i have worked on over the years have really liked 27.5, needle in 4th pos from top, and 280-340 mains. mikuni carbs rely hevily on main and needle for jetting.
  9. YIKES> i always rotate the motor all the way around to kinda prelube the cylinders and check deck height looks good. also check your part numbers before assembly.. the way parts are these days never know what kinda wacko shit your gonna get!
  10. fmf fatty's , fatty SST's, procircuit, DMC , t-5, trinity are all great pipes. much better than DG dg are basically stock pipe performance with differnt looks you will hate them shear, sniper, cpi, rockets are all upper RPM pipes. BUT the cpi, and from what i have read rockets are decent mid-top pipes.
  11. naw then they go over to yfz factory techline central.net and ask about how much HP their 450 makes and how shitty the old 2 stroke was and how many top ends they had to put on, the overheating it did in the trails when they left it running while then went pee pee and how the front j-arms were so weak after they hit a tree tring to go 100mph down a deserted dirt road. ( oh and th e motor blew up after that also) all laughs aside if i was close i'd actually pay as much as 10 bucks for that bike!!! just cause it says HUFFY RACING WOW!
  12. i hear this all the time. i can tell you this. skill plays a lot in a drag race. cutting a good start throttle control, clutch control ( on clutched bikes) weight distribution and feeling where the power is and where it is not/. these in the vid are simple bikes and take some out of it you get a big motor'd bike on a dune full of ruts and braking bumps you better have your shit together.. i have taken a z400 and flat stomped some local 450's it was all in knowing where the bike liked to be launched at and where it liked to be shifted. and not being afraid of a wheelie..
  13. i'd say corprate greed was the downfall of manufaturing and soon the middle class all together. they couldnt take a 500tho a year pay cut .. it was all about how the few at the top had to make that yacht payment this month or wanted that house in france. this country is heading to similar as mexico, china and other so called 3rd world countries with their shitty factory's and bad wages..
  14. you read every single post on every page so far? whats you educated opinion then? my best advice dont listen to "them" or THOSE guys" or that friend of mine said ( insert foot) if yamaha would release the banshee motor updated or even backdated to the RZ spec's in a new yfz 450 frame ( 09 up) they would have the in my opinion greatest atv to date.. direct injection 350cc twin powervalved 2 stroke with smart powervalve technology.. modern transmission, clutch, and shift assembly. in the MX 450 chassis!.. wow what an atv that would be.
  15. people hate our socalled government then they get pissed cause nearly everythign is sold here in america is made in mexico/ china/ etc/ allmost all american company's have moved factorys overseas or out to mexico etc. the people wanting government OUT of the way are the ones that are to blame no import taxes ( thanks) no taxes on companies that move out of the country ( thanks) and tax benifits to companies that report billions in PROFITS! then the absolute retarded ness of companies that cannot believe that noone can buy their imported shit anymore. cause they FIRED all the people that made it happen. if mike that works at chevy and makes 20 bucks an hour cannot go out and buy a new car every 3 years or so. who are they going to sell thier shit to. i am personally tired of all the china made shit thats coming in for our bike some of it is ok but most is shit. just plain and simple.
  16. get a manual. read every post on this site. get a job. get a better job. go mow lawns and have 2 jobs. buy a banshee go nuts..
  17. yea most of us have a job. if that blonde in your sig is to "busy" to come hang out with you and your ps3 i can come get her and give her something to ride.
  18. ouch.
  19. that klim looks neato.
  20. what i like about jerry/ chariot is they are not scared to change things to make the products better. great company NOW go make some more lectron billet bowls!! ( also best i have ever used..)
  21. lil more read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcohol_fuel in this article it says this "fuel" can be derived from carbon dioxide and water.. what the hell. our govenment is fighting over oil and this is a possible solution but its so cheap to make and use its kept a secret because of the implications it means (profit margin)
  22. fat guys have a built in wheelie bar.. wikipedia methanol. VERY intersting read adn will possibly piss you off from our stupid ass government lies about ethanol. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methanol_fuel old stuff ( alky) was made from sugar.. the modern stuff is mostly made from nautral gas or plant based if i rember?
  23. try both see which one you like better whats the indepth reasons for the diff cc's/ almost every alky dome i have gotten form diff builders has looked differnt heck some even say to just run the gas domes in them and "see how it works" the current gas cub domes look a lot like alky domes i have gotten in the past also some "alky" domes have ran killer on pump gas motors.. there is a LOT involved in a good head design. most of the best ones i ahve seen are from trial and error on a specific motor.. the ones i personally like are a small width squish band ( 5-9mm) in the 20-17cc dome range with a flat inner profile instead of a dome.. the dome shape, fuel quality are kinda going to make the timing matter the most. a big wide band i have only seen o-ring failure and deto and overheating of the dome. most "shelf" domes are shaped that way.. but thats just my personal experience with them
  24. both styles of lockup work well. the slingshot will hold a LOT of HP it sometimes takes a LOT of weight on a finger locker to hold high loads and high HP. both work great but only one you can hide under a cover...
